Yeah but does the pic on the avatar confirm the Odd Female Theory of the meaning of OF ?
Not even when I was young and good looking.......
Who'd thought such a small thing could bring out such mirth from one's fellows?

I have like 12 or more pieces I think?
Some I used only once!
They were OK and some were smaller than I expected. The D series bubblers I have had the best results so far. Let me know if you like the D020 - D?
You don't need a collection of Glass really. Whatever gets you medicated?
After France I lived in CHILE and surfing was amazing in Latin America.
Do the serial numbers ACTUALLY mean anything? For the record mine was purchased a month ago in uk with the serial M1Y1........
I'm so with you on that and it's so hard1-2 times a week but im trying to keep it down! Gotta keep that low tolerance and gotta keep the highs just as great as ever i dont want to get used to being high!
The only number that counts is the one on the bottom of the Solo. The one on the box has no value when it comes to warranty.Someone please help me! I got my solo today and the box didn't come with the white sticker where the warranty number should be. Is this normal? Is it possible that mine is a fake one? By the way, mine is a M1T

So far I have not modified it like that. I just threw a film can(full of bud) in the bottom of the cup to get the "straw" to stick up higher.Who's says the Solo's not Stealth. Dr. Soxhlet did you use anything around the inside of the Solo cup?
Who's says the Solo's not Stealth. Dr. Soxhlet did you use anything around the inside of the Solo cup? I used an insulated band that normally goes on the outside of a can to hold your drink. It worked well so the Solo didn't move around too much inside the cup.
Congratulations of on your Avatar OF.
Well if my hand is still fine holding the Solo after 2 back-to-back sessions on 7, I guess it should be fine with PLA ?Can anyone comment on how hot the temperatures could get around the Solo body? Trying to determine if it could ever exceed 140C (which is when PLA begins to soften)

Even if it gets hotter in the confine environment of a soda cup, I don't think there is a real risk temperature wise.
In theory as hot as the load. In practice that would never happen since the electronics will stall out long before that. And then there's the battery shutdown switch. Or battery explosion if the switch fails.......I wonder if they're tested.......
I would not be so quick to dismiss the effect of adding insulation. The rules of Thermodynamics are pretty hard. I suspect this is the exact reason the switch is in the battery pack in fact.
In Solo heat that 'escapes' from the oven is picked up by the cooler Aluminum body and easily conducted away. Then it's spread to the environment over a very large area so the flow rate can still be high (means lower surface temperature). Temperature at any point is a function of that flow (not the maximum temp in the load), the faster heat can flow out and slower it comes in the colder it is. If you slow the transfer from the Aluminum body by insulation or even blocking airflow, temperatures will go up. Perhaps a lot, more than Solo can stand?
The traditional way of measuring this is with some sort of maximum temperature indicator (based on liquid crystals as I recall). They typicall turn black at a given temperature. Omega Engineering makes labels (some with several temps) and 'Tempilac' (sp), which is what I used. You put them on 'hot spots' or temperature sensitive areas, button up, and do a heat run. Strip down and see what you've got. Fun stuff. Trust me........ You'll like doing it, only the most trusted people get to do it......
My advice is approach cautiously and don't block airflow and you should be fine. The concern is real though IMO.

Did you buy it from an Authorized Dealer?

The only things you're missing out of the box that I recommend are some screens and a GonG. 1/2" screens sit flat inside, 5/8" dome up a bit. GonG for all-glass connectivity with your water pieces of choice. You can also take one of those silicone ecig tips and snip off the restricted end, slip it over the stem, and fit that into a 14mm joint.Hey guys what are the must have accessories for this vaporizer? How is the high efficiency stem?
Thanks
