^^^ Wicked man

Is that some DIY UV proofing on those mason jars mate?
I was cleaning my garage and purging.
It was hard to throw away paint so I made a DIY granite finish to cover my MASON JARS to block out the UV's from damaging the medicine on my flowers.
The ARMY GREEN was pretty cool plus is was easier!
The padding was too keep our feet from slipping off JET SKI"S.
I use it for my wood shop benches to protect glass stuff.

Just something to do!

No coupon that I know of. If you mention you are an FC member they will give you something for free. I got caps for my mouthpieces.
Thanks for the reply, I thought this forum had a 10% off code from planetvape for some reason. What's the next best portable vaporizer compared to this one, price isn't an issue. Thanks

Hi guys!! My Solo just got here. I powered it up and checked the power level, was at 4, so now I'm charging it. The blue, orange, and green charging lights are on right now. The orange ones are up to level 4. The green light is blinking. I'll wait till this green charging light is solid and not blinking, and then give it 4 more hours? Is that right?

It's not heating up AND charging at the same time right? Cause the lights are on. How do I know if it's doing that?

Yeah, the idea is to give it a few hours extra (after the green light goes solid) the first time only...

No, it's not heating... The red light (labelled "heat" and just above the number 7 LED) would be on and cycling/flashing as it heats and maintains temp if it was.

I'm so excited!~ I ate the last nasty-ass edible I'll ever have to eat last night! My tummy hurt so bad, like the worst it's ever hurt, and then I was awoke at 4am by myself puking all over because my body was simply sick of feeling so shit. No more firecrackers for me! Wawawawawaaww!~

I do 5 dry.. am i weird? Why do you guys stick to the lower levels?
Actually, I use level 5 dry with the bent stem and an Extreme Q balloon stem as the mouthpiece most of the time, like this:

The extra length helps cool the vapor.

After owning 2 black solos and selling them I finally have a silver solo on the way! Im considering upgrading the battery though because the seller told me it would only go for about 4-5 sessions a charge now.

Do the eds tnt stems have more airflow than the glass? I might pick up the one in the classifieds. Just not sure if they are BETTER or just DIFFERENT.
For me I feel like it gets better airflow but idk

Ok ataxian but a d020-D bubbler has 18mm, will i need a glass adapter like you apart of my pvhegong? The pvhegong must to be 14mm to fits good ,right? Im very confused about this pieces to fit...thanks!!!
Edit: from Spai i just can say is very hot now...37celsius !!
@VANVAS
I use to use dry stems alot.
I may use them again when the weather changes?

California is hot like a desert even by the ocean.
Water path is what I do most in the summer.
I have a 14mm GonG and use a 18mm x 14mm reducer bushing to fit most of my bubblers.
Some of my ASH COLLECTOR JHOOK (SHERLOCK) combination's are 14mm.
! use a reducer bushing.

When it becomes cooler I will use a stem with a CHILLUM Tip dry.
Be creative! @Ratchett makes stuff!

@Quetzalcoatl got me using these cool JUARZ I need to buy more colors!

Just like a D020 - K with a female instead of a male fitting for the SOLO!
I broke one this week so I will get some more.
You can never have enough fitting's!

Cheers to that.

That reminds me I need to go pick my figs before the birds find them.

BTW @OF, if you have time can you please elaborate as to why we should charge 4 hours past solid green on an initial charge? I saw someone reference that whilst citing you a few pages back but it's news to me.

Edit: would this also apply to other devices using lithium-ion batteries?

I broke the end of my straight stem. Can I sand? it down or toss it? I don't have a glass tube cutter.

You could sand it down but make sure you clean the hell out of it and let water run through and over it for about 10 min, Id also scrub it with a washrag. The last thing you want to be breathing in glass dust...even if its just a minuscule amount.

I will give it a scrubbing afterwards but I have to sand about a 1/4 inch. I guess I will just have to go give it a try.

There's some tips on here about how to properly do this. You'd need to search the thread though (good luck). I wanna say OF was the one offering the tips but I may be wrong about that.

Pipes had it right, trust him (at least this time......). It's only really important in cases like this with more than one cell in series in the battery. And only important the first time. If you don't do this the stronger cell will 'work the other' harder each cycle, making the difference bigger and bigger until the weaker one packs in and kills the battery even with one cell still 'going strong'.

Giving the weaker one the best possible start ('overcharging' before the first serious discharge) can prolong the eventual day it fails. Normally Solo can only monitor the total of the two cells, the stronger one will cut charging before the weaker is ready each cycle.

I fire-polished the end of mine

Once again, Q man is on top of it. You want to carefully torch the rough ends enough to melt locally. Like the rim on a wine glass or the original finish on the stem (which is also fire polished). You need to get it hot enough so yellow colored glow (from the Sodium in the glass) happens at the rough parts. A small torch lighter will do it, but you need to be careful heating up and cooling off so heat stress doesn't break the glass. Roll the tube in the flame so it heats all around the open end.

I'm sure that Google will have some examples for you. Good luck.

You could always snap the end inch or so off cleanly to get a clean/straight end and fire polish that. It would make a shorter stem but I would do that personally.
The edge of a flat/triangular file is fine to score the glass. Make sure the score is reasonably long (not just a nick), so score the glass, rotate a bit and score again elongating the original cut. Then cut facing away from you, thumb either side and snap by pushing thumbs forward... could always sand it too ;)

@OF your new avatar pic gave me a laugh... how true

All taken care of guys! Thanks! I could of taken a little more time with it but my skin was crawling knowing that glass sand was every where. I jumped into the shower as soon as I poured alcohol on it. It was cool of course. I think it will work fine.

I use to surf in SPAIN during the early 90's. 18mm is the Fitting Size. I have a 14mm GonG PHVES I love so I use it with my reducer bushing. I need to get a 18mm PHVES GonG. I have a stock one I like however I'm low on parts.

I lived in FRANCE so while on a surf mission we would go to northern Spain. I remember loving the food there!

Do I HAVE to wait four extra hours when charging for the first time? I've given it another hour already and wahhhh I just wanna vape already...
I don't know anything about the new units? I understand that you can use it while charging? Correct me if I'm wrong?

Dude, charge it until the light is steady and then go nuts!

Yes! And greater airflow too!
