Quick question. What temp do u use when using the Planetvape gong. I notice sometimes when I vape bud it turns into this oil moving around in the gong right after a session. I'm worried it may drip into the holes. Any explanation for this?

Are you using it with the GonG stem attached to glass or as a mouthpiece? The stuff is reclaim oil, just condensed vapor. You can scrape it off and add it back to the next stem for a nice kick :brow:

That CHILLUM is beautiful.

This set up is simple however the TORNADO action makes it medicate well.

I'm using the gong with f bomb. Do u guys know if it's possible for that oil to drip past the avb down into the ss bowl holes. I mean I wouldn't be too concerned if it was thick, but it gets so hot that right after I take out the gong u can see lots of oil running around. I'm worried since I have to use the f bomb straight, it may cause the oil to drip down. Maybe I'm being over concerned. I just love my solo lol, its really helping me conserve too.

Its fine the oil will drip in to the herb and revape giving a thicker hit
You won't clog up the heater chamber holes

It might not plug the holes (and that won't really harm production, try plugging one and see.....), but guys have reported burn stains that can't be removed from concentrate making it to the metal. Something many object to.

Caution is advised.

I think we need a "Where did you take your Solo today?" thread!

How about the converse? "Where did your Solo take you?"? Less photos there, perhaps? But I bet a few fun stories........

I was wondering, what is a chillum for? Is it just for looks, does it help cool down the vapor or is it or something else?

Both! I have a metal drip tip for an ecig that fits on them as well :) Just a fun way to personalize your vape... I also saw some heady glass domes for oil pens, really neat work on some of the stuff.

Hello,
Sorry, but I think this questions are already answered in the first 1000 pages of this topic but I'm to lazy to search them :D
1. The models you can buy are they all able to use while charging? Because the older models doesn't support this function.
2. Will your herbs also be vaped when your not using it but keep it turned on?
3. Is it also possible to use it when the bole is not packed totally full?
4. Does the solo also auto shut down after 12 minutes when your using the charger?
5. What is the best quality: mflb or solo: in words of easy to use, good vapor, using all active material in your herbs?
Thanks
Regards

Yes, it seems any you can buy these days are the new style, making which is actually better a moot point.

2. Will your herbs also be vaped when your not using it but keep it turned on?

Yes.

3. Is it also possible to use it when the bole is not packed totally full?

Yes. And fairly common, some used reduced capacity stems. You can also vape intact buds.

4. Does the solo also auto shut down after 12 minutes when your using the charger?

Yes. Probably deemed not safe to leave hot. Arizer adds this feature to Herbal Aire.

5. What is the best quality: mflb or solo: in words of easy to use, good vapor, using all active material in your herbs?

You're on your own there, way too subjective for me. Both are fine vapes with features and performance that suits a wide spectrum of owners with fine reliability and support. A winning combination, IMO, hard to go wrong with either. There are other good ones, of course.

There are also, IMO, lots of bad vapes out there. Ones that taste foul, waste goods, are hard to work, smell and so on. You're on your own to make up that short list as well.

Regards.

iirc
You're a blind vaporist .
For that reason , I would suggest the Solo is much easier to use .
Very less chance of combustion , I've never had any with the
Solo .

While the mflb can cause combustion if Not closely watched .
There's also a bit of a learning curve with the mflb .
Now if you can get the PA with the mflb , you could possibly
find your sweet spot on the PA dial and have good success .

I have both and enjoy them in my rotation .
Hope that helps .

In my opinion the Solo is easier to use than the MFLB. I didn't like having to fiddle around with the battery on the MFLB. Every time I take a draw having to put the battery in. I like to relax when I vape. The Solo is a bit more expensive than the MFLB.

With the Solo and the MFLB, FCer Ed is making wooden stems. So portability with both units is cool, no broken stems if you use the wood.

Edit: The taste of the MFLB doesn't even compare to the taste of the Solo. IMO Solo's flavor is far superior.

Hey y'all,

Problem here. When my Solo is unplugged and off, the blue "IDLE" LED strobes non-stop. Very fast flashing that I haven't seen before. Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn't. Still working but this is pretty concerning. Thought it might be an error code but that is doubtful... Any thoughts? I bought it in December so it is still under warranty.

EDIT: Just did a reset, we'll see how it goes...

Here is the Solo reset procedure:

(1) Plug the charger into a wall outlet and connect it to your Solo.
(2) On the Solo, press and hold both arrow buttons for approximately 4 seconds.
(3) Release the arrow buttons and wait for 10 seconds longer before unplugging the Solo from the charger.

If the above reset procedure does not resolve the problem, your next step is opening the Solo and unplugging the battery from the circuit board. However, if you are not comfortable working with small electronics, consider this option carefully.

Hi hd_rider,

Thanks for the quick reply. I googled the reset procedure right after posting (in this modern age I should not be asking such questions). I've done that and fully disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. Even disassembled the heater assembly to clean out dust and debris. Seems better now. It was pretty wonky for a minute there. The temperature was all over the place. I had it set at 4 and it was stuck at 1, then spiked up to 6, then back to 1... There was a fair amount of debris inside.

I have been using the shorty PVHES bent stem and with this one strain of herb that I have, I'm able to get 3 - 12 min sessions with my Solo. I've been really able to conserve on the herb that I have. Plus it medicates soooo well. I average usually around 1 bowl for 2 - 12 min sessions.

I'm looking forward to my Eds black wood Wong that I 'll be getting at the end of next week, he's making it 3 inches long. It will work well as a mouthpiece or with a WT.

Eds work is absolutely beautiful. On his thread at Eds TnT wood stems, general discussion, section, vapor related equipment. He had some turquoise that he used on a wood piece. Check it out!

Yes, that's correct on the levels 4 and 5. The 3rd session the last 2 min clouds got wispy.
ABV wasn't dark brown either when it was spent, it was more a med brown. I was told was white widow, I'm not sure if it really is though. It is very good.

Yea sometimes I get 2 12 mins session out of a not fully packed stem. 3 is amazing.

So I went to the local shop to pick up a bubbler and I found an 18mm but with an adapter it came to 80 bucks. Not bad. Not sure how to upload pics. It's different than other forums.

Does anyone know if the charge and heat feature has a negative effect on overall battery life? I wouldn't have thought it would, but according to vapefiend.co.uk it does?

I'm slightly dubious, however, as they say this on the page where they are trying to sell you the power adapter that allowed you to run the older model solos from the mains.. Anyone able to shed any light?

This information is taken from the following page, if it helps..

I've used super fine steel wool to clean out a really dirty Solo bowl (after an extended "indefinite" loan to a friend ... just needed to borrow it back for a weekend :) ... but I'm obsessive about clean vapes so I cleaned it like new before I used it and he got it back as such :))

Yes, there is extra strain on the battery because it is alternating from charging to discharging when the Solo is used when charging.
