Well looks like I will be getting a new solo . I am going to wait a bit longer for my info or pipes and OF to take the plunge first . This is actually now looking up to be a great option barring any damaging info about batts and stuff we learn from the masters. Now if that all shakes out to be ok on the batts I would say PA all the way so that means extra in the solo purchase as it was in da old days. Maybe if again this shakes out to be ok arizer will change the stock charger to the PA type

Why a new one?

What is the newest current model for the Solo? Some are saying M1C1 and some are saying the M1D/1/2/

Also where is the best place currently to purchase one? Been searching for about an hour and most are out of stock or look dodgy. Prefer somewhere cheap and that has the new models. I'm in the UK but don't mind buying from the USA.

They aren't models but serial numbers but the new batches C's and D's have the new feature so of course having VAS I NEED one .

Has it been verified the all the Cs are updated? We know some are but are all? Also, the Cs seemed to be short lived as a production so might not be an issue..
Maybe I missed something?

I just had a deep nap after my SOLO session.
My tolerance is so low now!

0.20 grams of flowers and 0.10 grams CO2 OIL and it put me out like the eighties!
At this rate I will never run out of medicine!

Plus My DUTCH CRUNCH is awesome!

My CANNABIS toys are doing a fine job.

I had to buy more stuff for medicating because I was lurching while on vacation.

Now that's all I want is a 3rd SOLO!
Like you @Dreamerr I don't need one however I want one!

Not having CANNABIS for 10 days was brutal for me!

HAPPY is all I can say!

Being, "OFF THE GRID", was strange however refreshing!

BTW, no step down adapter needed to do this with my M1D2...

With the current OEM supply we know it is simply impossible due to not enough juice. I can see some power assist possible with some careful programming controlling power ratios from batteries and external power input to heater. While also playing with the charging circuits at the same time.
But as we have mentioned many times now. This is great and all but at what cost? It is fact that using like this will be hard on the batteries. But by how much? Of course there's always the warranty so we are back to the ol' "time will tell".
Regardless, the Solo is great what ever model you get. There are always workarounds.

You go girl. A slight flaw in the theory. The Solo is a smart cookie indeed. However, it has no way to tell if the attached supply is rated high enough or not. It sees the 12 volts and that's it. So the function is designed around that information only. The maximum current draw will be programmed to match the OEM supply.
Now it could be altered but it would blow out there current supplies. I know, I just gave @Dreamerr a headache....opps

I wonder why exit. Maybe the way you draw. I get nice size clouds on 3. I don't recall trying two but have dragged on two while warming up. Maybe make a vid if you feel like it but I say as long as you are getting what you need all good.

What snappo says too but I still get clouds and so does many of us. I take very short hits as you know less then ten seconds and I don't hold it in long which can account for some in the exhale.

i don't mind making a video at all but i always get huge thick and great tasting (imo) clouds at heat 6, whereas i have not gotten anything but wisps with lower temps. i will admit i still find drawing on the solo to be tricky!

also yes i do have a new model solo, i def do think the temp calibration is a little different than my old solo was.

i have a pvhes supposed to show p soon so maybe....

See with mine I can thoroughly vape a full stem at 3 with nice visible clouds and at 5 it chokes me out hard. I don't bother with anything higher than 4 dry with my current stash. 5-6 produce sufficient clouds for my tubes to milk up but too warm for my liking otherwise.

Too bad they're out of stock for the female 18mm stem.

@exit, you may have answered you own question with the newer model being the answer. BTW in some way or a lot of ways the pvhes gives you less not more vapor but it makes the draw easier.

Now on that note since I was messing with glass and the PN today I had many different solo sessions. I know that makes no sense but I did a mod had a session on the pn then I was like yea but I love that setup on the solo. So I have done the chillum on the gong...very nice, and well didn't try the rest but was using the bent stem for something and damn. Ok ramble for no reason anyhow....

I haven't used a stock stem in a long time. I had stock bent with oring on three and my room was cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Gotta love the solo right taxi? Many different ways to use it and all a different experience so you can't get bored.

Heres a picture I just took for comparison. Stock stem, loaded and put it in as I turned it on to 3. Waited 1:45 and went a full 12 minutes. I think I've already mastered my technique lol.

I have 18mm GonG and need a 14mm.

We all have different reasons for using CANNABIS!
Some like a large milked up water pipe and big rips!
For me it's not the "HOLY GRAIL" correct way just my way:

I have 3 PA's

"OF" = work well
TIM's = works well
PIPE'S = works well
I started with "OF's" about a year ago?

"PA's are great for Medical Room's!

Thanks, I never thought it was indicating both charge and heat at the same time during the session. I thought it was heat and when heat is off then charge. Guess it could be called presumption reading?
Caligula is also using the charger, just a beefed up 5 amp unit which is supplied with my PA system.

I've been using my m1c1 solo with the new features for a while. Now I don't know if I'm being paranoid but there is a slight smell of burnt toast that comes from it when I use it. And I've been experiencing itchy lungs when I vape and for a little while afterwords. Is this normal? Does anyone else get an itchy feeling deep in their lungs when vaping? Or could there be something wrong with my device?

The burnt toast sounds like extracted flower smell? Do you keep your ABV or can smell it next time you extract a bowl? Does it smell the same?

Itchy lung doesnt sound good but could be due to dry vapor? I get a itcy cough sometimes from an itcy throat so I drink something. Are you doing it dry or with water? If dry do you have access to a water pipe or can you make one to try?
