Alright guys here are my observations after about a week with my "defective" M1C1 unit:
The first time I turned the unit on it heated up to heat level 7 very fast so I decided to time it ... took 37 seconds from cold. After a few "burn in" cycles I loaded up a stem brought the unit up to heat level 5 ... no visible vapor whatsoever no matter what draw method I used so I brought the unit up to level 7. At level 7 I was getting light wispy clouds (no matter my draw technique) and the ABV was coming out light tan.
I haven't had a chance to send the unit in to the seller this week and I kept reading people like OF saying that this was probably inexperienced vapers (which I am not) getting the hang of their devices so I have been trying to use it every night and I have been getting the same results all week.
Last night when heating the unit up to try it out again (was about to send unit in Friday and wanted to test it up until then) I noticed the unit was taking a looong time to heat up. I decided to time the heat up time and it is now taking 1:13 to reach heat level 7 and I am able to get nice hits on all heat levels and dark ABV on heat level 7.
My Girlfriends was also one of the M1C1 that was heating unusually quickly but after around 10 test cycles it seemed to heat up at a more normal rate and we both decided that it wasnt a big enough of an issue to send back at the current time as it seems to work as expected when compared to my M1A1. Hers did not have the odd looking stainless bowl however. to @
Thevaped1 I agree with what others have said and I might request a new one if my bowl looked like that
That is exactly what happened to mine when I first got it. When I first finished charging it, it went to level 7 in about 30 seconds. After a few more cycles is was going to level 7 from cold to go in about 1 min to 1 min 10 secs and thats were its at now. I also emailed arizer directly and they said that the faster heat up time was dew to recent "improvents" that were done on m1c1's but when asked what were the new improvements exactly I didnt get a reply so who knows.
If you read my posts I have video proof we are not making these faults up and that some of the M1C1 models "heat" up too quickly...
I have had enough Solos to recognise which are not performing correctly.
It was never said it was all M1C1s but they definitely seem to be more temperamental than most other models.
Telling people blindly that they have no problems with their unit won't help matters. If they have no reference point then they will be thinking that a Solo that heats up in 30 secs and produces wispy vapour is normal?!
I don't think we should assume that all units coming out of Arizer are fault free...
ok
i dont know if solos have a break in period.my m1c1 for the first week wouldnt give me dark abv.all in a sudden im getting dark abv on a full cycle.it could be the herb causing the problem idk.loving this unit the more i use it.i love how smooth the hits are compare to my other portable units.i never cough anymore, unless i want too.
Seems like a lot of others have been noting the same issues with units acquired recently so my advice (for what it's worth) is if you have a unit that you think is defective (heating up too quickly and never reaching temps high enough to vape) try running your unit on level 7 through several battery charges and see if you need to "break in" your unit ... can't hurt
