This little PECULATOR is kind of fun MacGivering a water path of GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!

That's one of the water methods , I want to try out .
Now that I got the 14 mm PVHES Gong adapter .
Attach it to a small perc , for portable water vaping .
I may have to get a J-hook with it .

I still like the PN HT , but I think I can get a small perc for half the price right now at my LHS .

And yes , using my big bubbler with all the percs and diffuser stem .
Does make a difference than using my ' ghetto ' DIY small bubbler .
But I don't want to discourage people from DIY small bubbler with O-rings or rubber bands .
It's a nice pre-starter to your GAS addiction .

I love my low cost setups!
Since I got my Sherlock Homes glass stem hooked up to my smaller ASH CATCHER & PECULATOR.
Mine are all 18mm however I want to start collecting 14mm parts.

I don't like this!
This is better:
For Monday morning: ["WAKE & BAKE"= GOD'S GIFT + GIRL SCOUT COOKIES + HELLS ANGELS OG]
GonG & a H2O path!

SOLO FLIGHT!

Pulled the trigger. $19 for 20 screens shipped international. Splitting them with a friend. How fine is the mesh on these?

Very fine , the finest I've come across .
You can recycle them by soaking them in iso to clean them .
But DO NOT keep them soaking for long periods of time . ( aprox .10 minutes )
Because it will deteriorate the screens faster and start fraying around the edges .ime
But you can re-use the same screens over and over again , to save some $$$ .

Keep in mind the ' finer ' the screen , the more restrictive air flow you'll have when inhaling .
Add one of these mouthpiece tips to your stems and it will help def . imo
Here's the link ;

P.S. NO I don't work for vaporkings ......hehe

Hmm. I wonder if this is what's wrong with my screens for a different vaporizer I own. I left them to soak overnight in 70% ISO (I have 99% for faster soaks), and they have curled up. It's taking me ages to flatten them again.

How do these help if you don't mind me asking? I've never seen them before. Do you mean for hygiene reasons? I have a PVHES straight stem. I'm hoping it can deal with the screens quite well.

I'm pretty sure that's the reason .
Aprox. 10 minutes is all you really need to loosen up the herbs and remove the resin stains . ime
Longer for heavy duty stains of course .

It basically just funnels the vapors down to a pin point opening .
Allowing more volumes of vapors to be inhaled with a smoother/easier draw .
I also found more resin seems to be extracted faster and collects in the herb chamber
of the stems .
Here's some info based on the same theory ;

I like to use my GonG adapter dry with a small downstem on it.

You take a nice big hit off of the solo and then pull up just a bit and it works like a carb. Really nice.

My DIY bubbler is even smaller than that .
and the small perc , I was looking at .
had the 14 mm female joint in the center of the perc , for better stability .
With a smaller J hook attached on the side .
Actually , I would like to see one without the use of a J hook , if possible .
The part you would J hook , will have to be upside down tho .
So you can just inhale thru that , I think they make them like that also .

This is just an image to show some love and respect for the device that made my (and my friends as well) trip so much better and funny.

This is an awesome vaporizer, works very well outdoors and satisfied our entire group.
Arizer, I need to show all my respect to your quality product!!! I hope I will have one myself very soon, this one is from the other guy...

Cheers

Anyone used one of these cheapos with their SOLO?
I'm thinking about taking the risk for the price of it!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/9V-4A-AC-DC...091?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec5db198b

I advise against it, although I haven't tried that exact one. I've tried 2 (or maybe 3?) similar units, they all don't work as they're slightly above 9.0 Volts unloaded so lock out the Solo and give you a lightshow instead of PA mode. Notice the factory unit is 8.5 Volts, not nine, I believe for this very reason.

For less than a buck and a half more you can get the unit I suggested from Jameco as several members have and have reported back. A proven solution. Remember, in either case you'll also have to deal with the connector adapter issue:
https://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_1940580_-1

Should work well, as should:
https://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_206529_-1

The second should even have enough steam to drive to Solos in PA mode should you have big plans....

If you don't have a spare 'computer power cord' around you should order one as well? This is Jameco's adapter:
http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/st...001&productId=2113703&catalogId=10001&CID=PDF

if its the right specs i dont see why not. but remember quality transformers last longer

Yup, I agree both times, but think the specs really are 'not right' for the job.

Hi Very high
Very close to pulling the trigger on the PN WT. Just a quick question about the Gong adapters from PV. Is the best compatible option to go for the 14mm PVHES standard version? I also notice they sell standard gong adapters. Sorry if this has been asked a million times prior. Thanks in advance.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
I use my solo with the 14mm Gong.. it is my daily stem.
I use no downstem, though... it is the mouthpiece!
nice, and short and discreet.. and the frosted glass takes less "lip prints"
Yup I agree it works awesome this way! Sometimes I use it this way with a mlb jersey bottle coozie over the whole unit. Trying to mod it so when you tilt it up and take a good rip it looks like your drinking your beverage.

Yea i would say the standard is the best kind. The turbo has too much airflow for my liking and the shorty (while I have not tried it) has the 30% smaller bowl which is a big downside.

I received the Infamous bubbler this Friday was $46. with shipping.
I will say this is a nifty lil bubbler.
So if you want to check out some cheap glass or are undecided on a glass bubbler, for the price you cant go wrong. I prefer the Infamous to the PN WT..
Works great with my solo and the E nano, be warned that it has a 18 mm female GonG.

And i love the No2 screens in the Solo stem i use them both ways.top hat and thimble

Thanks OF. I saw those and use those power supplies with my audio interfaces. They are definitely good. I was just hoping to find one with a matching plug, mainly because I still can't find where I packed my soldering iron since I moved...

Yup, audio stuff is generally replacing batteries made of 6 primary cells, ones that can be well over 9.0 Volts when fresh so the gear has to accept say 9.2 gracefully. Not so Solo. IMO you want at least half a volt margin, stick close to 8 Volts to stay in the 7 to 9 Volt allowed range.

The connector is uncommon and actually not normally used at voltages this high. Finding a supply with one on it is going to be rare.....which is why the adapter is recommended.

Good luck.

Ill let you know now this ones on its way too........
Looks a little taller than the Infamous

It might be, but I don't recall it as being so. Unfortunately I've loaned my Infamous to the BIL and the SOB is showing zero inclination to give it back.

It deceptive since it's so skinny. It measures just under 4.5 inches from bottom to top of the GonG connector.

Exclusive of the MP part it's a bit shorter and smaller in diameter than the Solo body is.

Ah, I should have been clearer. I use the brand you linked to on the JAmeco site with my audio gear. I wouldn't trust cheap transformers with it! But then again as soon as I thought that one out I realized I wouldn't want to use a cheap one on my Solo either. Whatever! I think i'll be placing an order with Jameco soon :)
