I guess I don't follow. What's "too much sparkle going on"? If you mean strange flashing lights, that can happen if the voltage of the PA isn't exactly right. What unit are you using? I used a 9 Volt 6 Amp supply I happened to have handy but it wouldn't work. It's actually about 9.2 Volts open circuit which is too much for a PA but not enough to charge I guess. Lowering it down to 8.5 Volts (like the factory one really is ?) cured it.

Thank you for the information!Nope, the solo is a gret vape-bong unit.
If I could only have 1 portable, it'd be the solo.
I never use the PA, as I've got home units more appropriate for my usage, but it's a solid choice if you plan on using the solo as your primary home vape.
I prefer the freer flow of a modern log (WychWood, underdog, hot pod), or my LSV when at home.
The increased flow of those vapes lets all my fancy percs fire more fully, but the solo gives the same great output of vapor, just with less of that bubble stacking I love so much
No I do not get that feeling. I can remember when I first got it I did have some stress in my upper diaphragm but I quickly learned to chill out with my draw speed. Just inhale slower.
so for overall efficiency, taste, rips and just what a stoner wants to spend his money on the Solo with a GonG and a water tube of some sort would be a better start up set than just the pax a by itself, or even maybe a Pax with that silicon tubing converter for a water piece as well....
The vapor blunt 2.0 looks kool but is a lotttt of friggin money.
I really liked the Pax during this entire search, but as it gets closer to ordering I am thinking about going for the Solo with the tube.....i smoke a lot in my bed and just at the house.. decisions. decisions. need2justgetvapingalready
I'm so picky about taste.
Once I had my first hit with the SOLO I quit searching and my flower vaping is primarily with the SOLO.
I have a hard time understanding people who vape with devices that make the flowers taste like popcorn?
Why not just burn one?
Just a note on the rice, I read recently that rice only really absorbs moisture it's in contact with, it doesn't draw moisture out, so it might be a bit quicker than just drying, but not necessarily better than just jetting it air dry thoroughly.
There is also some dust/other residues that could potentially be problematic, but that risk is pretty tiny.
Some kind of designed for the task desiccant would be ideal, but not necessarily readily available.
First off I would never discourage anyone from getting a solo. I love mine & wouldn't trade it for anything. That being said though, based on what you have said here I think you should probably do a little more research into home units as well before making your final decisions. Basically you said (in a prior post) that you want a nice home unit but can't spend $550 on it. I can only assume you are referring the cano. while that is an awesome vape & I would never knock it or anyone who has it there are lots of other options out there. You have said you want something you can use with water and if you want the bag option as well you should check out the EQ or HA at the cheaper end (both quality units just check those threads), for a little more you can pick up the vivape by vaporfection. If you just want a great home unit for water filtration you could check out both the DBV & the SSV (with the hands free attachment for the SSV). There are several other options out there, you just need to figure out what will work best for you.
If after reading this you decide you still want a portable unit then the solo is an awesome choice. Add a GonG attachment & it is perfect for water filtration. The solo can produce clouds like most heavy hitter home units and is probably the best bang for your buck out there in the portable market.
I vape on 3 - 4.Most vapes taste popcorny after a while, because of conduction i think. Don't you get popcorny taste in the Solo? I get popcorny taste when the terpenes are thinning out (happens at about 4, i start at 2).. if i go until 7, it will stop tasting popcorny and start tasting like bitter over-done toast.
I vape on 3 - 4.
At about 10 hits I stop and reload.
It will provide more rips however flavor will start to suffer!
Water Path with the SOLO is heavenly!
Great information, thank your kindly!! And yes... I have research ALOT mostly all of those vapes and even though I hear great things about the EQ and HA.... I still kind of want to make one gnarly purchase that I won't be over in a year to 2 and looking to upgrade. I have read and watched sooo much, and this jar of Bluedream is just disappearing :/..... I know the portables are going to continue to evolve and get more badass by day...... and that I am probably just really into the Pax because it's the "newest" thing....
Is the small bowl on the Solo that big of a burden to people who use it....?
And I also know that there is the possibility of some really cool or good units coming out.... idkkk, this worse than picking a name for your firstborn child!!! (and i don't have kids).
Ohhh sorry!!..... I was going to get a DBV at very first thought when I saw it in my local shop about 3-weeks ago after I picked up a generic $115 bubbler with nice tree inside of it..the bubbler was broke in 4 days and I got online to find a DBV....THEN. I saw the Pax..... and this madness hasn't calmed since...
I WILL order something today! Just don't know what, lol, but i feel like I'm getting CLOSE!!
If you get something wet & put it in a humid environment it will dry slower than if you put it into an arid environment.
Basically by putting something in a bag of rice you are creating an artificial arid environment wherein as soon as any water evaporates off the unit, it is absorbed by the rice almost instantly. This means that as the water evaporates off the unit it does not linger in the air near the unit (which would partially saturate the air & hinder further evaporation) speeding the drying time required.
I vape on 3 - 4.

I started with the MFLB and it was great for 2 hits then burnt popcorn flavor.Well, that's my point. Most vapes will get popcorny. If you don't let any vape get popcorny, the difference lies in your vaporizing process and method, and not on the unit you use.
If you are a FLAVOR SNOB GET A soloVery nice info!.... Looking to getting the Pax or Solo.... and i REALLY dig this water tube attachment over the top of it. Dome vape rips in bed?!?!? YES PLEASE!!
I still am gavin first purchase hold offs and wasting my blue dream though!!!
I started with the MFLB and it was great for 2 hits then burnt popcorn flavor.
In over a year and a half I haven't use it.
The SOLO tasted better longer.
The BENDER is a whole other level.
I think it might have to do with better temperature control. Terpenes that give cannabis its lovely smell and taste usually vaporize first at lower temps so once they're gone the taste goes with it.I started with the MFLB and it was great for 2 hits then burnt popcorn flavor.

I thought the Bender had more conduction than the Solo, why do you say it's a whole other level? I'm curious about your love for that unit. It seems too big and overpriced, when you consider performance, versus other vapes. I never owned one so i'm just talking from reading FC.
