Arizer Solo

Now I have the Solo, which hits the same as or better than a log vape (which has been my daily driver for a long time) and it's portable and tastes better than a log.

Funny that you posted that and that Boobs liked it too, although it is possible that he liked it for another part than I quoted of course.

But does this mean you both agree the Solo hits harder than your HIs, even just the cooler running M105, and tastes better too?

Serious question.

I agree, The solo vapor has a cleaner, better taste than compared to log vapor. Sadly, I havent used my UD's for weeks.

WHAT THE HECK!!!?? Now I know it would be a waste of my money to get a log vape. Logs being turned on 24/7 is cool - but not THAT important to me.

1 less type of vape I have to buy/try! And here I was, thinking log vapes kick every other vapes butt!

Thanks for that valuable info.

Yet, my solo was my daily driver until my underdog arrived. Now I only use my solo when guests come or when I am out & about.

IME- my UD kicks solos ass, but then again I dont have too much of a sense of taste or smell. So those things are not so much of a priority, just the huge mofo clouds, which the UD delivers in spades.

sessnet...maybe not the HI. Definitely compared to all my PD's. The HI is a bit of a different beast. The temp can get really hot in the HI, making for some monster hits if you like 'em that way. But at normal temps, I would say the Solo is comparable to all the logs. The Solo is basically a portable log vape. The HI improved on the log vapes by giving me a bigger bowl and better airflow. The Solo has a similar sized bowl but not as good airflow as the HI. The taste is better in the Solo. If I had to get just one, I'd get the Solo for portability's sake. Both the HI and the Solo can get me there in one bowl, whereas the PD would take me three bowls.

Well not necessarily, I'm just one guy and i'm sure some people might disagree with my statement. Especially people who have received a robot fart solo. But it may just be because my solo is my newest toy that it is getting all the attention. Its probably just a matter of time until i plug the dog back in.

The reason i say the solo tastes better is because the low temps create awesome flavor and in return a lighter vapor. Once the vapor slows i turn the temp up and the flavor and vapor is semi-identical to the UD. The logs stay at one temp and produce a thicker vapor with less taste. In some cases Dave of UD uses a walnut oil on his wood that creates a weird taste and takes away from the flavor of the herb. It eventually goes away but can stick around for a long time.

Log vapes are great. Im really interested in these HI's. I might be buying one in the near future, Even though i shouldnt.....

Oh boy!!! I had the Solo filled with a seriously strong strain for the first time last night! It was a deliciously delicious Super Lemon Haze and just a pinch of it (half bowl) gave me and a friend the biggest smiles in a long time!!! We get landraces most of the time but such a special treat is a must every now and then! The Solo performed flawlessly... ;P

I was asking because I haven't even touched my Solo since I got my Dog working properly, except for a portable use or two. No way the Solo can keep up with my UD, not on high temps or on low. The clouds are just so much denser from my little log. If it can compete with the HI, well, lets say it wouldn't speak in favor for the HI, and it probably would make me want to take my name off the waiting list.

I think the key to a fully enjoyable log vape is a variable PSU, it's just that simple. I honestly feel I don't ever need another vape after trying that.

Which log vape do you have that hits worse and tastes worse than a solo :uhoh:

darkrom, the solo is a completely different beast from your past experience, believe me on this. The Solo is now officially my vapourite vape of all time, taste is impecable.

I was wondering of someone with more understanding of power transformers etc could help me out with some general info so that I can get myself a new charger.
I have the ac adapter, which uses a detachable power cord so I just threw it away and grabbed one from my big-box-o-cables.
Since the regular charger has its outlet prongs built in, ive been using an adapter so that it will fit on an Australian outlet.
Basically, I want to just go out to an electronics shop and get another adapter so I can do away with that damn adapter...

I figure I need to match the output voltage (which I can't remember right now since I don't have the charger in front of me), but what about the amps?
I'm pretty sure regular charger is 1000 mah, does it matter is I get one that has more? Less?
If I go higher, can I blow out some of the circuitry or anything?
Or overcharge the battery or something?
If I go lower, could it undercharge the battery?
Lowering capacity or battery life or something?

I know with log vapes the amps don't tend to matter as long as the voltage is right, an the amps exceed a minimum level, but there's alot less electronics going on in a log vape...

EDIT:
To any Aussie solo owners, have you picked up a charger from dick smith, or JB Hifi or something?

What you need is a regulated 12V adapter with a minimal of 1A or 1000mAh. A higher voltage could ruin your battery, a higher A or mAh value won't matter one bit.

Yeah, most if not all log vape power supplies have the same specs. The plug that goes in to the Solo is a little smaller than the one on the log vape PSUs though, but perhaps the one on the CRZ is different?

What have they changed? Or are they still being very secretive and not communicating? I'm HONESTLY interested in the changes because I hear it is very different, but until I know how (and get a chance to try one first) I can't imagine such a radical difference.

It's flawless, i've had two m107's and there is no smell or bad taste. On the contrary the taste is true and clean to the strain. The heat temp algorythem is bang on and no problems with loose stems.

My CRZ one came with a set of removable tips, and I'm pretty sure one of them fits the solo.

Stinky uncovered metal and a ring that holds the stems in place, not enough has changed imo.

If you read back a page or two you'll find a recent copied&pasted email from Arizers kevin, their tech guy. As you can tell nothing has changed, they even continue to deny differences in certain models we KNOW are there.

hells no! the HI hits way harder and taste better imo. i use my solo when i'm on the move only. i almost never use it when i'm home.

i don't know about other logs but the HI is the shit and warms up in like 3 mins. its like a mini LSV, you should check out some of my HI videos.

I would have to say, after thinking back on it, that the HI hits harder than the Solo. They have about the same size bowl, and I will take a full 12 minutes to finish off the Solo working the temp all the way up. The HI can be cranked up and the bowl cached in as little as four or five hits (as opposed to 10 or 12 on the Solo). The effect is the same for me, but the HI can probably get you there in a few minutes as opposed to 12.

@sticks,
I think i find the extended session as an advantage. Not everybody does, but I like consistent vapor for the 12 minute session. I'd rather enjoy around 10 medium size hits than 4 or 5 big hits off the log. If i was in a rush though the log would be my go to.

And isnt that the main feature of the VXC? The ability to stretch out a bowl for a longer session and more hits? also, does the cloud create a stronger effect than others?

TIA.

This right here is an issue with the company and not the product if it is true. This is the type of thing that makes me not want to keep checking to see if they actually changed anything yet. Its disrespectful and insulting and if it is true it is bordering on unethical IMO.

Well looks like the Solo will require regular maintenance meaning taking it apart and cleaning it. I haven't had my m107 that long, maybe a month of daily use. And i've always kept it clean. I took the bottom 4 screws out just to check out the battery and the insides, and there was a bit of abv here and there kinda all over. Super easy to do just a quick blow here and there and it's all fine. I'd personally clean it every couple months or so...takes not even 5 mins.

I isolated the ticking/clicking sound to the heater. My theory is that each zap is a shot of electricity to the bowl.
