Hello old friend, its been a long time.....

Dam this thing is awesome as i remember.

I did notice the bowl looked upgraded/diff, maybe diff metal and/or/ air path holes. Also it seemd like the charger was a bit more heavy duty. Other than that its the same solid solo.

Definitely have @ataxian host, I need to try out that pool..

Excellent idea. We should do a practice/dry run to be sure it all comes off well on the big day......

Best wait until spring, a guy could get a nasty chill these days. No need to bring suits, we're all adults here, right? Though we should bring towels, he probably doesn't have enough for all of us. No need to travel with herb, either, he has that covered as I recall. Although it would be wise to bring (unbroken) glass......

So I guess all we have to do is pick a date?

One other idea, lets make the practice party a surprise party? He'll enjoy it much more that way. We can stage somewhere, even get some limos lined up to ferry us in so there won't be a parking problem for his neighbors. Just think how exciting it'll be for @ataxian when limos keep bringing more strangers to fill up his pool and plunder his stash.......

I picked up an OG Solo today while I wait for my Solo II RMA to be processed. It's a bit like back to the future . Can't wait to try it.

Good call. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I think it's fair to say that experience with Solo I has caused many of us to jump on Solo II for relatively modest improvements. And few, if any, have abandoned their Solo Is?

You should always have a reliable backup vape lest Murphy blind side you. Having a Solo I backing up a Solo II (or the other way about....) is a class move if you ask me.

FWIW I find that Solo I is an excellent vape to loan out to new Vapers to try out. Simple, reliable, easy to use, hard to hurt, dependable results......what's not to like? I have two such loaners, one just came back when the 'friend of a friend' got his new Solo II. The other is out there somewhere, I should probably try to run it down.

Enjoy your new Solo, it's a good support until your other Solo comes back......repentant and apologetic.

BUT one thing the OG has that the II doesn't is the bent stem. You Fucken Beautie.

I thought the stems were the same for Solo, Solo 2 and for Air? I use water tools on 7 all the time anyway, but did do about 3 dry stems this year for kicks. I always had a hard time getting a decent hit with my Solos before I started using bubblers.

Lots of guys have had water accidents, did anyone actually kill theirs that way? Water won't hurt electronics (within limits

I suspect I killed two Solos exactly that way. While you are right about water not generally harming electronics, electricity with water is a problem. Our computer store was flooded resulting in monitors on the floor getting water in them. Waited two weeks before applying power and they were fine. Same with a cell phone I dropped in the Skagit River. Took it apart, dried it overnight, put it together and all was fine.
In the case of the Solo, I believe the problem is the adhesive that holds the wires to the heater element comes unbonded. I had to send in two Solo after water tool mishaps. Except for the little bubbler stem, I no longer risk my Solos that way.

I think the OP was saying Solo II doesn't come with a bent stem. My bent stems from Solo seem to work fine for me. Ten bucks will fix this problem. Arizer probably shaved a few dollars off the cost/price of the Solo II this way, something I think we all appreciate?

Solo's ability to satisfy such serious tastes (even if with water) and yet, by change of settings and technique can also serve those of us looking for mild, tasty vapor.

Very flexible, not all vapes are.

And those guys doing aromatherapy with the weeds from out behind the shop. :)
I thought of @ataxian this morning; I pinched a hot gong out of the bubbler to tap it out and lost it, bounced off the bubbler, the table, then landed on the floor... no damage.
