With Ataxian anything is possible....... A while back he filled the garbage can with trim and told us so. We immediately deployed but the trash man beat us to it.

Hey, great idea! A Solo Road Trip. We all head for Ataxian's place and camp out until that excess herb problem is taken care of....... I wonder if the neighbors will notice the tents and all the RVs and stuff parked in the street?
Be great fun, I think. Should we bring anything Ataxian? Grinders? Towels? For sure extra stems......
Until we can finalize the group trip, by all means enjoy yours. It's well earned, you got it coming. If you can spare a few minutes, please take a photo or tow so us lesser people can vicariously enjoy after the fact? TIA.
"FC Authorized Road Trips" has some potential too, I think. We could send 'good vibes' out for tasty waves in this case for instance. Or clear skies. Or less people......

How often is too often for charging the solo? Mine is new and I did five hours past full the first charge. After charging it now, I get maybe 6-8 uses before I have to charge again.

From what I have read on here it is best not to over charge it. Just charge it up to full and pull out the cable. Try not to leave it charging for hours and hours after it has fully charged, so basically charge it when you can keep an eye on it.

I only overcharged it the first time in accordance with OF's advice. Am I getting an acceptable number of uses per charge or should I pull out my warranty info? I can hardly imagine sending it away, even for service.
Your fine. Around 6 is good and there's other variables like temp and herb type. 8 is perfect for a new unit.

I would consider 6-8 sessions to be normal.
While I agree with the session count (subject to Pipe's timely additions to which I'd add how hard and often you hit it in each session), I'm not so sure I'd put too much stock in what Stu thinks is normal.......
The battery is fine, even if some of us who haunt this thread aren't........
Solos are for enjoying, not worrying about. The OP should get working on that.

Number of sessions is also dependent on the heat level used. I get more sessions now that I use the Solo at level 3-4. I used to use it at level 5-6.

Does anyone else use it on level 7? I always use it on 7. I dont think I have even tried any other settings really.
When I pack the end of the solo's glass stem I pack it pretty full, not really tight but still full, full with chopped up herb. Then I heat it to 7 and use it on 2 full hits (12 mins each) so it lasts for about 24 mins and by then the taste is starting to get not as nice and the vapour isnt as full.
Maybe I should try going on level 5 and try get 3 sessions in for a fully packed stem?

I like to heat my Solo's stem already loaded with my cannabis. I like a medium grind to a coarse grind depending if I have a screen. I set the heat to level 4 then about half way through my session I bump the temp to 5. If I use a water tool I start at 5 then bump to 6 sometimes 7. I only use the higher temp protected by water. The higher temps are too harsh for me otherwise.
I only go one time using a 10 min session then save the ABV for edibles.

I find the taste of ABV to be horrid, so it doesn't go into my edibles. But I do make oil out of it though.

My Solo is a year and a half old and I get about 6 - 12 min sessions per battery charge. When my Solo was new I would get over 2 hours of use. It degraded over a year's time. Eventually I will get another battery. I'm happy with the battery performance. I have 2 Solos that I switch off.

I always end up finishing up on 7 but through water. Can't stand past 5 dry at all. In fact when I have the time/leisure, I start at level 2 dry. Lovely taste there, and I can drag a full stem through a session at 2, and then the second session on the same stem is at 3 for about half the session and then 4 or 5 for the second part.
I'm a bit (really) stoned, not sure what you mean by "heat it to 7 and use it on 2 full hits (12 mins each)" Do you mean 2 sessions (aka heating up and using until it turns itself off)?
Yeah if you start at 7 the first few hits will vaporize a lot of the terpenes, a lot more than at low levels, and the taste turns on you faster. On the upside you get nice milky hits from the start. Have you tried lower level vaping? Takes some finesse but I think the flavor and effects are great, very clear and heady high from it, not as sedating but even indicas don't feel speedy (mild stony feeling minus the CBD/CBN sedation, instead of very stony narcotic feeling). The vapor is thinner and it's kind of a mind thing where you see light vapor and think it's not going to be as big of a rip, but a few minutes later you're wrecked! I do love me some thick milky vapor bong rips. If you want tasty sessions have you considered using a dome screen and using less material so that you finish the flavor and session around the same time? My stem currently has a dome screen that reduces the load size to 2/3 and it's perfect for how I use it and my tolerance.
It's very much so a preference thing. The only thing you should really be caring about is the end-result and if you're happy with it. Try level 2! Try level 3! Don't like it? Go back to what you like! Experiment! The only thing stopping you is your stash

If you water cure it the taste goes away but the cannabinoids stay!
My Solo just died, but I love it anyway.
I bought my first and only Solo nearly 4 years ago, and for most of that time have been a daily user of it. It probably went through around 2000 sessions total. Lately it's been used exclusively with ice-water / bubble hash, with a pocket-sized oil vaporizer as my main device. The Solo got one battery replacement about halfway through it's life.
Excellent durability! I've done countless stupid things with it; left it overcharging all night long, ran it until the batteries were so dead it quit mid-session, dropped it many times.
Lately the instant-on no-smell oil vaporizers fit my life patterns better, but I will certainly be replacing this Solo for the welcome occasions when I have peace, quiet, and time to enjoy some nice hash or the occasional buds.
