Yes it is. I will never get rid of my Solo. Even after getting higher end vapes, the Solo always has a place in my rotation. Its crazy that I stepped away from the Solo some years ago because of the original restriction and purchased a Pax which also has some restriction but more portability. After purchasing my new 2014 Solo last year I saw what exactly what i was missing...ALOT!
Nowadays my Pax seldom gets used. If I had to(which I have) choose between my Solo and Pax for on the go, I choose the Solo.

The Solo is tried and true. Even though I have several vaporizers the Solo is a favorite. Its dependable and always ready for action day or night. Good flavor and very easy to operate. The all glass air path is awesome and that's one of the reasons you get such good flavor from the product you're using.

The Solo was updated about a year and a half ago and it has an easier draw. You can always buy the specialized stems through Planetvape with the extra air channels - a very easy draw, no dragging whatsoever. They are the PVHES series of mouthpieces. The new Vortex stem is awesome. Check it out.

Two Solos in rotation-one charging while the other is in use-ensure that one will always be ready. A timer will make sure they don't charge quite to the top for longer battery life. A second Solo with the longer battery life made more sense to me rather than buying an Air at this time.

Gettin' lifted with some J1 and the Solo with the Air gong. Been in rotation steady for over a year now? Or two? Hell if I know. Decided to turbo the gong stem and loving it. Coffee's ready and lunch is served but I wanted dessert first; life's too short not to

The solo is so solid. Thought I was going to run out if battery after forgetting to do my nightly change. But got 3 sessions (at level 7) with the battery inductor on 2 lights. There was easily another session left. You know I have never drained it fully. And I use it every day ... It's my daily driver ... 4 - 8 sessions a day. Go hard or go home. My little solo just goes hard!

I have packed a tiny nug in the stem, but lately I've been breaking it into pieces. I also start at level 5, then finish off at 7.

I too am guilty of this, or nearly so. I vape a bit until it's dried out, then pull it out and crush it in my palm with my fingers and put it back. With care, you can do it when the glass is still hot, but due caution is advised.

Couple bros coming down tomorrow to visit. Can't wait to show them the FC rig we have put together. I say "we" because it was truly a group effort. Great advise all over the place, now the d020 setup with claisen is damn near perfect for me. Even those domed screens off ebay, do yourself a favor and pair one with the vortex stem. Such an improvement and you use way less medication

Seriously (for just a moment, hang tight, it'll pass......) glad you're 'hitting your stride' Solo is a great vape, but it need to fit with the owner. Sounds like you've made it yours. Enjoy your friends, as the saying goes 'the quality of a man is measured in his friends'.

I never grind anymore just break it up a little and cram it in. Keeps things clean. Could not go over 5 tho.
