I might just be blazed but I swear my M104 solo dated 2010 heats up WAY faster with the VapePower high capacity battery. I am almost positive it never got up to 6 as fast as it does now. I just feel like it hits better now. a dying battery is bad news.

@Alex43rd get some rings from puffitup if you aren't going to get a PVHES i like the stock stems just fine. just get some good weed and a joda gong if you have glass pieces. get a joda stem!!!!!!!!

So the package from Puffitup came exactly when promised and armed with info provided by the folks here i embarked. The package arrived at about 5:30 and by 6:00 I had it charging. By 8:00 all the lights were lit so I resolved not to try it out until after midnight to give it 4 hours of overcharging, as recommended.

Like many others I was impressed with the solidity of the unit. It was sparse on instructions, but with the folks here providing support they weren't needed. Nice puffitup touches were the free grinder (nice to have the back-up to the one I already have) and the packs of screens and o-rings.

With the unit all charged up and over-charged, I turned it on and set it for level 4 and let it heat up for a minute after the 4 lights lit up. I inserted a screen in the straight tube and using the suck it up method (which worked great) I loaded the bowl and inserted it. It went in a lot easier than I was expecting.

I see what the discussion was about the draw - even though mine is the newest model. It seemed that the stem had wiggle room and how it was wiggled affected the draw. I was actually very comfortable with the slow draw recommended by some here and I immediately got great vapor.

This is my 3rd vaporizer and the other 2, a cheapy that broke and a VapirRise that is about to be demoted from primary to backup, and for both of the others it wasn't until I had 3-6 bowls under my belt that I felt I was really getting good performance. It took figuring out things about herb prep and loading and tweaking until I got it just right.

With the Solo. however, I was in midseason form from the first draw. It took about 10 seconds to figure out an effective draft technique that gave me excellent vapor. I will probably get better, but even if I do not, this is a very very acceptable performance level for me.

I can certainly see how people say that they get a back-up Solo to their primary Solo. If the Solo had been my first I probably would be looking at another one for back-up. As it is, my prior vape, the Rise, was very acceptable as my primary device and will certainly be an adequate back-up. In fact, as I rite this I am vaping on the Rise as the Solo charges.

Anyway, that is my current impression and review. My thanks to those who were so generous with their expertise.

Mine is m1f1.....had it for about 3 weeks.....piu sends free o-rings and my bent stem is very loose......

I suspect the difference is between a new and 'run out' battery more than the type. A 'frog in a pan of water' deal let it slowly degraded over time without your notice. Not to detract from Centizen's battery it doesn't deliver more power than other types as much as will do so longer between charges.

That is the same 'instant improvement' would probably happen with the factory battery as well.

Glad you're happy with the replacement, that's what really counts after all.

Do you all agree wth that overcharge theory? Shud i charge it full...then charge for a few more hours? I want to do it right ive always been told overcharging is bad for a units lifespan

I think 'all agree' is an impossible standard, and the advantage would be very hard to prove. It exists in theory and is most useful in multi cell batteries like Solo. It's common, for example, in 'car batteries' (lead/acid). "Equalizing charges" are also common in serious R/C stuff, like the helicopter guys.

I recommend it on the "chicken soup" ('can't hurt, might help') theme. It's only useful before the first discharge cycle, at most you need to do it once. Of course it would be the once before you get to use your new vape.......

Hmm yea i know vaping is so based on preference in all aspects so a general consensus is impossible...might do it though depending on how bad im itching to try it out!

Agreed, 'general consensus' is probably the best one could hope, "all agree" is way past that.

I get how hard it is to hold off a few more hours, more so looking at it sitting there, but I think the alternative involves the chance of second guessing yourself over and over and over. Every time it comes up needing a charge you run the risk of wondering if it wouldn't last a bit longer today if you'd only done this months ago?

You buy vapes to use and enjoy, you get to decide how that happens, but I'm sticking to chicken soup here.

Enjoy your Solo, it'll be waiting for you when you're ready to play.

Chicken soup alright. I didn't give my solo the first extended charge once the light was Green is was heating. It's now 5 months old and I get around 7 full sessions per charge. I use the highest temp always so the battery is getting hammered. But I will say I have never run it completely flat. I do wonder if I'd get more life by following the way OF describes. But I will never know until my next solo purchase.

Good to know i wont be screwed if i dont over charge! thanks for the input....some complain ab the battery life but 7 sessions sounds great to me...2 days of vaping or one heavy day...Not much hassle to charge a unit once a day..no biggie

Ill let you know how my pinnacle pro from DHGate works..for 20$ its worth it if it last you even a month haha

From what ive learned here..if your looking for glass DHgate is an awesome spot for cheap stuff

Ofcourse some prefer to spend hundreds but the way i look at it...if ur not leaving the house and your just using it to vape..why nkt try out cheap glass, could work like a charm!

Hi guys after a looong research I purchased Arizer Solo (M1S1) to replace my old deceased vapir no2.

Unfortunately the straight stock stem is extremely loose, I have shaky hand and the stem would keep jiggling when I'm holding the Solo, and if I flip the device it just fall straight down. Strangely the bent stem is a better fit.


After some research I went to local home depot but here in Canada they don't have the recommended model and Planet Vape is out of stock :(

Home depot only sell ones in a kit pack with multiple sizes inside, none of them have size markings.

Out of the kit I picked one that fits the best but now I can't screw the top tightly since the ring is too thick and everytime I slide out the stem it would shift slightly so I'd have to unscrew the top and reposition it again.

I'm also not sure if this is designed to withstand high temperature.

Is there any other solution / place where I can buy the slim high temp O-ring in Canada ?

I have habitually used my index finger to steady/guide
the stem to my lips . Even when using the PVHES Gongs ,
I can lift up and contain the gong by the small nubs .
Maybe you're able to try that .

You can also try sanding down your O-ring to thinner size ,
or order thinner ones from PV .
