I can't figure out what goes where and because of my throat I must attach it to some type of water filtration

Mom,
I assume you have the Solo and you have the DO20, but you do not have an adapter to mate the two. Based on that assumption, there are two things you might consider doing.
First, you can take your straight stem, wrap some electrical or Teflon tape around it about halfway up. You want to wrap enough to form a "donut" around the stem. The idea here is you should be able to insert the straight stem into the DO20 and let the "donut" act as a seal. You can then put the Solo on top of the stem. Just be careful during handling that you don't tip it one direction or the other during use as the weight of the Solo could put some stress on that stem, causing it to break.
Here's a crude drawing, with DO20 on the bottom, Solo on top, and stem in the middle.
As far as adapters go, I like these. I have several spares in case I accidentally break or crack one. I do have one spare that has a chip in the glass along the top edge, but it's still completely functional. If you let me know your address via IM, I'll mail it to you so you can try it out.

Not to worry. First thing, get it to charging. Plug the wall wart in, then plug it into the bottom of the Solo. The charge LED should come on after a few seconds (it may or may not beep, depending on if that's enabled) and flash as it charges. The 7 level lights should 'step up' until all are lit. After that the charge LED should go solid (full charge). The first time it's a good idea to let it 'overcharge' four or more hours. First time only, but that might give you longer life on the battery.
Meanwhile we can poke around for a video or two or other instructions.
If you have a 14mm WT, you can do a pretty good job with the factory (straight) stem. Many of us used this technique (some with a rubber band around the end) until we got GonG adapters from PV:

Some favor Ed's wood stems, which also fit 14mm connectors.

I am trying. I flew over to my local headshop and they set me up with and they hooked me up with 14mm on 1 side 18 mm on the other. Brought it home and had it upside down and in the recycler in 2 seconds. I think I needed to see the adapter to see understand how to use it.
So be ready for a fun posts on Friday highday!! Can't wait. But remember my experience is the ultimate beast the evo exhale. I have named this BB (baby beast). Gonna order the bubbler tomorrow so there will be more questions then.
HD Ed just saw your post. Think I am getting that bubbler. Pictures are good. They help me understand. Also thanks for the advice. I think some friends got me the Ed adapter becuz I have been so good about taking care of my voice.
Glad to join the solo fan club. Ready to give up on the pax. Getting ready for maiden solo flight. Shit you'd think I was taking off to denver or something. (I so wish and I am getting reports that 3 mile high is sooo much fun)

Ok 1st dumb question - do I put the pot in the little part of the adapter and then turn the solo on heat it up and turn it upside down to fit in the recycler or the side circ? I don't think it just goes in the heater part. What am I missing here? Can I use the small part of the adapter as a bowl?
As I am reading I see that I don't just drop it in but I just don't see anything like the easy load bowl for the exhale. I feel pretty stupid right now. Do I use the screen to keep it in

It's not obvious for sure, good on ya for checking......something us guys aren't all that famous for?
You can use intact buds if you want, but most of us grind them up to be like very coarse ground pepper. Some finer, of course, some less. Try it all and decide what you like.
Use the straight stem. Fill the small end (half inch or so deep), but don't pack it too tight. If you grind it up, you can try just sucking it in, many of us load that way.
On a new unit, the seal will be tight, heat the unit up first it'll make it softer.
To power on, press and hold both buttons for a second or so. If enabled, it'll beep then flash you the battery level in seven steps for a second or so then drop to only the idle light lit. You're ready to go at that point. Push the up arrow say 4 times to set it for level 4. It will start to flash the heat lamp and the temperature will 'step up' over about 2 minutes as it heats.
When hot, insert the stem squarely. Most guys hold it upside down so the bud doesn't spill. It can fight you the first few times, but it will go in if you keep it square (I rock it a bit as well sometimes). Give it half a minute or so to get up to temperature and you're making vapor. If you've stuck the stem into your new adapter and mounted it, time to try a hit......
Solo, you'll find is very tolerant of technique. Explore different temperatures (four is a good place to start, but many like it cooler which can also be less harsh.
It will time out after 12 minutes if you don't push both buttons again to turn it off earlier. You should get six or 8 sessions before needing charging again, just check the battery level when you power up and recharge hits bottom.

I ordered this damn thing the 21st of November and its been stuck in Chicago since the 23, tracking won't update any further. 5 days past expected delivery, so i sent a usps complaint... like that'll do much :T
Ugh.... I'm gonna wait til monday the latest, if nothing im getting a damn refund or something.
Been using that little bubbler with my new kiss cart... lol

I bought a 18mm adapter from Oregon glass blower for the the D020 bubbler but it's a little big for the stock SSV whip to go over it.The adapter is 5/8" and the ID of the whip is 3/8" so it's only hanging on a 1/4" on the adapter.Was wondering the best way to stretch the whip over the adapter more?

Ok gang I tried it and I can see that this could be lots of fun but I know I'm still learning. I dont have the correct adapter to attach it any water tool and I need to correct that right away. I bought 2 but it just didn't fit right and it neither had the little bowl at the end like PV. FYI planetvape site not even running right now (sever down) but now that stu along with everyone else showed me the adapter to order and I will do that ASAP. I also called PUI and they are so nice they are trying one as well.
Having said that: I did do it dry with the curved piece and it was pretty smooth. I only set it at 4 and I did not get much vapor but I did get some. I was doing it right and it did give me a nice buzz to start off Friday Highday. I like that the stems fit in tight but I have to get better at the screens. I'm not grinding that much; does everyone agree that u can break it up a little peice and just pack it in - or is that something im doing wrong? I did not find it hard to draw at all.
For a first try I give her a B+ and I'm all in. Of course, I broke down and pulled out the beast and did a fun session w recycler so it's all good and i will play with the baby on the next go round; I want to get that adapter because I see how much fun everyone is having their bubblers. I will say that may 2 head shops know even less than me and neither one even carried this vape. Getting DH gate very soon because then I can make her even more portable but still have my exhale sidecirc WT and the insane doughboy recycler and that's who I really want to hook BB up to. They will be very good friends.
I really think it's the a lot like a mini version of the exhale and I can put her in a baby bag and take her anywhere. Yeah I am very happy with my 3rd vaporizer.

Sounds like you did not have the stem pushed down all the way into the base. It has to come in contact with the bottom, and it can be surprisingly difficult on a new solo. Make sure you heat it up to 7 for a couple minutes so it gets nice and hot, then push the stem straight in until it contacts the bottom. Level 4 should give plenty of vapor, and is where I always start (On both my 3 year old model, and 1 month old model). Also, make sure you let it heat up about 60 seconds more once the solo gets to temp so the glass/herb gets hot as well.

We have fellow islander. I used dazed and east cost psychedelic and nothing they gave me really connecting the 2 pieces. I love them both and did have a lot adapters but nothing fit quite right. Why is that? Do the rings help?

Heat - dip the end of the whip in hot water out of the tap and it should get noticeably "flexier".
The glass adapter from PlanetVape might be out of stock, so you might also consider a stem from Ed's TnT.

Yeah!!! This is a fun flight.
Just did a nice little session w BB. Don't have it attached to WT and it is very dry on my throat but I took advise - let it heat a little, packed the curved stem perfectly, got it all the way down in the heater and she just did the rest. Put the heater on 4 and got lots of hits w lots of vapor; at the end I even brought it down to 3 to get the last of it a little less dry. It can really fly you pretty high up there.
You know I turned the beast on just in case, but his little sister so was so good that I turned big brother off. And you know big brother is always watching and older siblings can get so jealous when the new addition gets all the attention so next time I'll have to give him some love but it's really nice having a small vape with no cord! And it heats up way fast!! When the correct adapters arrive the beast will just have to learn to share.
Again for only starting all this in Jan 2014 with a pax I think Im doing pretty good. Devices are so fun when they work.
Maybe Santa will bring a few more gadgets!! Go team Solo

In the previous Solo massdrop, mine took a little under 4 weeks - from the close of that drop on October 25 to arrival in Melbourne on November 20th.
My previous 2 (!) were from a reputable ebay dealer - they cost more but arrived within a week of ordering.

Sorry if this has already been covered in another thread but i am fairly new to vaping and not sure what to do. I want to clean my solo stem with milk do i kust like heat the milk up and leave the stem in there for a couple of hours.?? Then when i have the milk can i just use it like normal milk but it will be medicated?. Like if i make a coffee or oats/porridge will i feel the effects.
