No, this is the same guy...
that needs about 1/3 of
@lwien's stash to get high. I bet it's getting vaporized but you're holding it in and not exhaling any vapors, but still absorbing them. I can get visible vapor with medium-fine grind, enough to cover the screen just barely. That's sounding like ~2-3 sessions' worth for
@thejonny2014.
Bowl is "done" for me when the taste is no longer bearable, or there's so little vapor coming out of it I don't bother trying anymore, whichever I'm in the mood/need for. Going by taste = more CBD left, going to the end = negligible amounts of cannabinoids remaining.
I also noticed that with very small amounts, something small like 2 or 3 individual calyxes, would not brown nearly as well as fuller stems. Doesn't really bother me as my need for doses that low is rare.
Hey!
@Caligula has a Solo and an Enano as well! Hope he chimes in.
You'll want a dry starting material. The heater, while quite capable for itself, isn't as powerful as the one in the Enano, so starting off with dry material helps already. Medium to medium-fine grind is good, vacuum it up. 1/2" screens in the stem to stop debris. Load it up, tamp it down a little bit so that it's not flush with the stem, and insert into Solo. Select level, let it heat up to temp, and then give it another 15-30 seconds after it reaches to let the stem heat soak. After that you're good to go. The hamster hits talk we've got going on is about taking the first few hits (or the entire session!) of the stem upside down, so the flower gets glued in place by the trichomes and nothing falls into the heat sink.
Whole buds/pieces of buds packed into the stem will also work well, and keep the flavor longer IMO, but you'll be looking to spend a little more time extracting due to less surface area.
