Welcome! Glad your first few sessions went well, over time you'll find what you like best. I love going from finely-ground material to whole nug pieces torn right off a treeMan its amazing! It comes half charged so it only took an hour to round out the batteryi turned it up to max for a full heat cycle waited it to cool and then wiped the bowl iwth iso. Also remember that the part of the glass stems that sit in the oven get hot as fuck haha so let those babies cool down. Seriously i have been smoking for a while and these highs are consistently amazing. really fucking solid. Friend who never get too high got absolutly ripped and only tasted tea
haha i did it form the tube directly and it was tastey. Id love to hear how our sesh goes

To carry your bud:What alternate stems can you buy, not made out of glass, and preferably inexpensive? I don't want to worry about breaking stems when on the go! And I can't be carrying around a case lol. Links are apprecaited![]()
My Solo arrived today! So far I've had two sessions through my hand bubbler.
It's really hard to type right now
It was even harder to take a crappy photo and upload it here

Sorry about my grubby paw.
So,im looking into buying some glass, saw the f bomb combo on PV for $130.00 and am seriously considering it.But....that's more than I paid for my Solo.I searched it here, read the comparison thread but came to no conclusive decision. What im asking is if any of you Ladies and Gentlemen currently use the f bomb please chime in and let me (and everyone else)know your opinions on it.Thanks.BOB
I'm assuming you got a 4" stem. While it might not be very practical, your stem should be 14mm on the mouthpiece end, and should fit a standard 14mm joint.Has anyone ever used one of Ed's WonG stems for dual purpose, water and dry?
The WonGs came out almost right after I got my granadillo stem, otherwise that might have killed two birds with one stone.
unless the solo has a way to say "no only taking 1A thank you" but i can't say yet how my car battery works. not a car person.
@OF or anyone else who knows, what size tabs are necessary if i'm going to get a battery store to weld them on so i can build a battery pack. i called them and they asked what size i needed, but i had no idea. should i just bring in stock pack with the wrapping removed or do you guys know what size works for this?

the only part that concerns me is "To reach max capacity of 2800mAh, you MUST charge the battery to 8.7V (4.35V/Cell). " but it should work anyway. and that the battery used in that pack is an ICR not an IMR but i am not sure if that's a dealbreaker.
is this the plug the solo battery uses...?

Remember, for maximum battery lifetime, charge the daylights out of it first thing. Right out of the box, say 4 hours after the charge light goes solid (overnight would be better), tough but it's a one time only deal. After that run it down to when the last 'battery light' doesn't show then do at most one more session before charging again (don't run it until it shows the red charge light or ever to lock out) then stop the charge when the number 7 LED lights but it's still charging when you can. Catching it before the charge 'tops up' will double, triple or even more your service life......IMO a solid trade off for a session or two per charge?
A thousand or more 6 session recharge cycles beats 300 'full charge' ones at 8 sessions per I think. Still 2400 sessions (8 times 300) is still mighty fine.....but 6 to 9000 would be more better......
I can (and have) easily rebuilt batteries, but taking the extra effort to protect my Solo buddy seems to be the right thing to do. After all, it gives so much back?

You don't really need the tool to remove the clip. The wood stems look really nice, but I cant justify paying a total of $50+ when I have to buy the clip removal tool just to clean the stem...
I use anywhere between .050 (small load) and .200, depending on my mood and on the grind consistency.- What weight bud do you put in each time?
- I will only use finely grinded weed, had much seccess with additional screens?
The Solo uses a lithium ion battery.
Also charging it for a long time probably won't hurt it as its a protected cell but I wouldn't go overboard.
Experience:
used to hang out on the candlepowerforums and own many of the 1st ecig mods and watched them struggle with the battery technology. I own many high output batteries mostly AW batts.
If you're interested in learning about batteries this is the site I used to read.

Not sure if your looking at it after a few mins. of cool down? if its a cold unit and you turn it on, it should only be the blue light and from there you can raise temp setting. #1 light should not be illuminated I believe if unit is completely cold. others may chine in. Just checked both of mine older and newer both when 1st turned on show idle light only.
I'll measure what the battery dimensions on the site say vs. a real solo battery pack, but i'll likely end up going back to my original plan of just getting some tabs put on a battery i like and make myself a pack... the battery in my M107 is unreliable and my M102 can put out maybe 3 sessions on a charge.
I'm just having a hard time with the centizen packs only because they're $60, ship from canada so actually $70, and an indeterminate wait time on top of that. I'm not talking crap on the dude, i greatly respect his work but i am both impatient and not new to DIY
I have a Solo M1T..., and when it's cold, only the blue light comes on. If it's warm, the first light comes on as well as the blue light. fwiw.
