now I did thanks. so remove battery plug in PA turn on and bring to heat.. then plug the bat back in and it should work... ok nice... BUT.....did you get to my old post about taking it apart and using the PA without the battery attached
I will be really happy if my Solo will work for 2 1/2 years at a couple of sessions a day.
Seems like a solid plan to me.I'm about to hit the PA box with a hammer to bust it open and try to see why is doesn't work right...
I'm considering getting one of these for about 120-130 with the warranty, but i'm also considering a davinci (the original one). I'm interested in that because it seems like a descent vape and has a warranty and it's small enough for your pocket. I've done a lot of research and it seems like the solo is the all around better vape but i'm not terribly concerned with taste just want something reliable and decently portable so idk it a hard decision but i thought some one on here would have a suggestion. i'm new here btw so i hope i'm following all the rules but i hope my grammars okay cuzz im a bit medicated curretly
I own a Pax and Davinci. Formerly owned a Solo (once the battery died, i bought the Pax). I recently compared all 3 of these on a different thread (which I now have a different favorite), in detail with few of my buddies vaping together. You can read the details here http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/haze-vaporizer.13162/page-2 . Summary of all. If you want portability, and budget is a concern, you should go with DaVinci. Solo is not much portable. On the other hand, it produces more vapor than DaVinci for sure. You can see the comparison details at the link I provided. Both of them are decent vaporizers though.I must admit, it messed with my head thinking there was a DaVinci called the 'Descent'. It took me a couple of reads before I realised you meant decent, but I'm a bit messy myself
As for choice between those vapes, I concur with CarolKing. I've only had my Solo for a few days and love the shit out of it. It hits like a desktop and is easily transportable(not really pocketable). The reason I have a portable is for going other places to vape, (mates place, beach, park, backyard, workshop) not at work or in a nightclub toilet. Ask yourself where you'll be vaping, not whether or not it'll fit in your skinny jeans. If your a baggy trouser guy you'll be fine with either
My goodness that was the line of the week!Ugly is such a strong word, but yet I can't think of another
Send it in and get a new one!Hey guys, Long time since I've shown my face in here. Sadly I don't come with good news.
My solo died.. I'd left it for a few weeks as I was using my ascent more but decided to pull the old girl out of temporary retirement. When I turned it on it beeped and displayed all 7 lights ... I waited... and waited... The 7 lights never disappeared. It would not go into idle mode at all. If I select a temperature it acts normally until the point it is meant to heat up, but no... all 7 lights stuck on again. I've tried resetting it which does something, I'm not sure what. Once I release the buttons after holding them down for 10 seconds the solo continues to beep for 5 seconds or so and then the blue idle light comes on. If I select a temperature again nothing happens but this time rather than displaying the 7 lights it switches back to the idle light. If I bump the temp up to 7 I get back to where I started, 7 lights displayed constantly.... I hope I've been clear, I'll try and get a video up if anyone thinks it'll help.
I've contacted the seller and they have given me a returns address so it will be getting sent away, but what I'm really asking here is if this is a known problem that can be fixed or is it a dead unit that will need replacing? Half of me hopes I'm going to get a new unit, the other half of me remember what a PITA breaking the damn thing in was haha
It's worth noting that my battery is fully charged, so I'm not sure if it is the battery level display getting stuck or if it's fucking up before it even gets to that point. From memory all 7 lights flash and then the battery level is displayed? Is that right?
Thanks to anyone that can chime in on this... Poor baby

EXACT SAME issue with my old M107 that just happened a couple weeks ago. And I mean EXACT!Hey guys, Long time since I've shown my face in here. Sadly I don't come with good news.

Yeah the solo does seem more dependableWelcome Spyguy, Most of us on this thread are big fans of the Solo. I don't have the original Davinci, but I do have the Ascent. IMO the Solo is the more sturdy dependable unit. It's economical and can be very portable especially with an Eds wooden stem or Wong.
I'm enjoying my Solo this warm summer evening on the back porch. A little bit of Black Haze as a treat.
thanks for that im really thinking hard into this decisonI must admit, it messed with my head thinking there was a DaVinci called the 'Descent'. It took me a couple of reads before I realised you meant decent, but I'm a bit messy myself
