So after reading many, many pages of this thread (and others) I decided on a Solo to augment my Pax and wax pen. It was scheduled to arrive today in time for the weekend/Father's Day. (sweet)

"A late UPS trailer arrival has caused a delay. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible."

Meaning it's now scheduled for Monday.

Gaah!

So the F-Bomb apparently is available in both 14mm and 18mm (you pay an extra $25 for the 18mm version). Is it worth the extra $25? Is the difference noticable?

Has anyone here ever rigged up some sort of forced air system with a Solo? I am going to be having dental work done in a few weeks and want to see if I can rig something to reduce the chance of dry socket. I know there are better-suited devices for this out there, but I have a Solo (or will shortly) and can't justify another vaporizer just for this.

I guess I could get the wifey to shotgun for me... :lol:

Check into a Vapor lung. I could never get it to work properly (just didn't fill with vapor). But seems like many others were successful

It might be easier to just eat some edibles for a few days, long as you can get the dosing correct. I don't have that down yet. Like a milkshake.:evil: But be very careful.:uhh:

I was thinking maybe a small PC fan with a speed controller. Roll up a piece of paper or thin cardboard to make an adapter for the intake side.

The problem is how do you get air into the solo before the heater? There is no clear air intake. Could attach the intake of a pump to the stem but who would want to inhale hot vapor going through a pump. All balloon vap designs (herbalaire, volcano, zephir, etc) have air coming in on the intake then being forced over a heater and filling up a bag.

Back in my combusting days ...
I knew a dental hygenist who smoked as well .
She recommended this for post procedural smoking .
Now keep in mind , we're talking about simple tooth extraction ,
and Not UFC/Hockey type surgery .

Before smoking , cover the area with the bandage gauze pads they give you when you leave the Dentist office . Wet the gauze for added protection
After smoking , rinse your mouth out well with warm water and salt . Now
Vapor is not as toxic as smoking , good luck with that .

You may laugh at this last tip , but to bypass the mouth ...
I'd also inhale Hash pin-tokes thru my nostrils . Harsh as hell , burned
a little ( ok a lot ) but it got THC in my lungs . So maybe ,
Up your nose with a rubber hose .;)

Thats actually a gravity bong but same idea. You might even be able to buy one at your local smoke shop. Do you have a gong? If not find one that is 14mm joint size so it is closer in size with the solo stem. You will have to make an airtight seal

EDIT: Although if you goto a smoke shop, dont call it a gravity bong lol

I noticed one thing thats the same for the cloud and the solo. If you hit either at high temps (4+ on the solo, 3oclock on the cloud), you get big clouds, lots of irritation, and loss of efficiency. If I start at a low temperature on either vaporizer then I get very good clouds and lots and lots of them as I climb in temperature. Its a titration of vapor.

First, apologies for the FNG double-post. I've reported the errant one...

I've got a few weeks before the procedure and I have started to experiment with CannaCaps. Need more investigation!

I will try the vapor lung. Good idea. Will report back how it works.

You know you should not be chewing on those stems....
Seriously, I see you torched off the edges but you might want to consider cutting off 3/4" and even back out again. Those cracks have a way of continuing if not stopped in their path. A gremel tool works good for cutting them. Just put some electrical tape around where you want to cut with the tape on the side to keep. Carefully edge the glass with cutting blade round and round several times (take very little at a time.) until tip drops off. Heat end the way you already did.
Good as new but a little shorter.
I would not recommending you attempting this mid-games though...:haw::freak:

haha I know that one broke and i tried to be a glass blower and fix it. right now i just slip some silcone over it. im to scared to try and cut it. I dont want to break my stem. I will see what i can do after the hunger games are over.

lets just say i cant really feel my arms attached to my body. its awesome their just typinnn away

Yeah I agree. Vaporstepping makes a difference.

Vaporstepping is a cool name, I like that.

Cant speak for him, but for me I start around 3 then vap until I get nothing or get too wispy of a hit, then I go up a level and continue until I finish at level 7

Temps sometimes are what you personally like. Some folks only go as high as heat level 3 and others that go all the way to 6 hitting dry.

I personally start out at 4 and go to level 5 after about 5 min. My sessions are 10 min, later I go back and vape the rest of what's in the bowl quickly going to level 5 sometimes I go as high as 6 dry depending on the herb.

I usually grind my herb to a cornmeal consistency. Dont use a product that's too wet, it doesn't vape well.

I save heat levels 6 and 7 for the WT. The herb is spent when you cannot get anymore vapor or if you don't like a burnt taste. Mine is usually dark but I have light enough flakes for edibles.

Whatever works the best for you, that is the right way.

I just wanted to report: My Solo is now over 1 year old - I gave it a 2 week rest while vacationing with my Lotus & E-Nano. Just came back home to my beloved Solo for a night cap - battery was charged right up @ level 7!!! She is my 1st love, and I will be ever faithful!

EDIT: And now I'm baked!:ko:

@Cannabis Connoisseur i think thats my mflb stem? if thats what your asking. My temp leveles usually start at 3-4 and end on 6 for a couple hits dry. wet 6 sometimes 7 with hash. i dont clean my stems very often. i love a potent stem milk. today my stems when I shook them in the milk just oooozed out brown golden goodness the milk looked like a golden spotted dalmatian,mmmmmmh mm good

I never save reclaim and I keep my glass super clean.
My shatter is pure and super clean.
I'm out of my favorite strain and that's OK. I have plenty to get me buy until Monday. No milk laced with stem oil.
However pure white frosty colas made by GOD the creator of all things.

That GOD he gave man the wisdom to make a SOLO so we can consume COLA FLOWERS.
