im thinking i'll be ordering an ed's wood stem. i'm thinking i want the shorty bog oak stem for stealth purposes, since it's smaller it will stick out less, but can someone comment on the stealth factor of a shorty vs a regular sized stem? i really don't want to shell out $50 for a stem if i could use the $30 one.
Another FC member, @Snappo, has really beautiful wood blanks that can be used!

I have 2 Solos. I have an awful fear I would be deprived of a Solo for a couple of weeks should I need to send one in for warranty. A backup is a good thing.

No. My bad. From Planet Vape. It's the f-Bomb Jet Diffused Micro Bubbler Tube. It works great with the EVO, too.

Did you get that from Arizer? I didn't see it on their site. Looks like a Pinnacle Water Tool without the label. I love mine.
I use it with a tube(inverted downstem through brewers cork) and of course my converted Aroma Therapy "Dish" for the gong. Works beautifully. Great taste-easy pulls.
As far as leakage: I have had it drain into my gong a couple of times. Fortunately the weed in the gong slows the water down, so you can disconnect before it actually gets in the electronics. The water sizzles when it hits the hot heating chamber, so you will know when it happens. I fill no higher than a quarter inch or so below that lower "splash guard"(see picture).

I've never tried an F-Bomb, but water tubes of this general design work great with the Solo.

I could not make it work for the life of me.
I love the way you reduced the mouth piece. I wish they made these hydro tubes with a 18mm female fitting so one could use his preferred mouth piece. For now I use a ASH CATCHER and a JHOOK to do the same thing.
I really like the way you customized your unit to work for you.
Big disconnect with the manufactures and medical patient!

You can get either 14 mm or 18 mm: I got 18mm because almost everything I own is 18mm. This would make a great travel glass device.
Edit: Additionally, I find I can take initial high levels (5, 6) and cough less.

The bore is open with a ridge left around the edges. I put a screen there. Your question makes me want to try it with wholes buds and no screen though.
I think most people with a torch or maybe a fancy lighter would be able to do this themselves. The "bowl" on the Aroma Therapy "Dish" just needs to be melted around the 14mm or 18mm connector and the hole punched with flame.
I have never owned a standard factory produced gong, so I have no way to compare with the others.

I own a MFLB. I received my Arizer Solo 2 days ago in the mail and has been vaping my $50 per half oz. Master Kush with the Solo since. My MFLB is currently underneath my bed.
The construction of the Solo is amazing, it feels sturdy, and has a great weight to it. It feels very well-made, not some cheap plastic crap made from oversea. The quality of the vapour is amazing, I get the cloudy effect that I couldn't get with the MFLB. On top of that, the heating chamber appears to be very easy to clean and barely gets dirty at all. The battery life is incredible (coming from a MFLB), I can vape at least 5x longer on the Solo without having to charge/swap battery. I also love the fact that I can use e-cig oil (not that I will), and concentrates as well. I believe it works with shatter and budder? (correct me if I am wrong).
This is one Canadian product that I am extremely proud of (can't believe it's assembled in my country), and would buy again from Puffitup.com

Yes you can do concentrates/wax/shatter .
I put some amongst the herbs and vape it , some wrap it in Organic Cotton .
