It was a pvhes stem. Sure the airflow is better, you saw the megavent on the back right?

Yeah, but I thought the bottle neck was the 4 tiny laser cut holes, but I suppose it's mainly contingent on your grind/load pack. Do you have a non-pvhes gong? That's why i'm interested in the most for airflow.

As for density, I would expect that with the conduction of a 4 min presoak. It's very noticeable in your 2nd hit.

Even if you don't have a non pvhes gong, just your feedback with a regular solo aroma tube on airflow would be greatly appreciated. I'm assuming it will be similar to the old solo with pvhes?

Your only going to get so much air through those little speck holes. That being said, it is still 25-50% better then the Air or OG Solo, depending on who you ask. I just did my "Biohacker dry suck test";) with the solo stem on all three. No more eye-bulging milkshake hits.:2c:

Edit:
Just hit half-battery on my 11th bowl. That 20 uses per charge might hold up. I'm sessioning roughly 8 min start from 40-50 F (garage temp/cold start) Finishing from 402-428 F Impressive. Up there with the Minvap Battery:science:

Yeah, Arizer and AgraCan sell them too. With PV they use Arizer's bowls, so they are the tiny laser cut holes. With the PVHES and gong, I do believe they are made in house and have bigger holes.

I feel like such a tool for recently selling an old solo with the older stems with "bigger holes"! Worst thing was the buyer replaced the battery and complained it still didn't work right so I essentially gave the stems and pvhes gong away  5 year old Solo purchased from a forum member that bailed on the forum. Also got taken for a busted EVO from same member.

Dude! That's insane! Works for me!! Can/do you every throttle the air intake? Maybe make for denser vapour without such a long presoak?

Video or it never happened!
Have to wait. Watching my 2 yr old son today and every time we come home he goes to my garage fridge and grabs a beer, pulls the drawer open to get the opener, and then makes me help him open it, then he hands it to me. Good in a way, bad in another? :\. I don't need him grabbing the vapes and the camera!

If you did it the other way could it potentially cause an issue you think ?
I don't think so. That big vent on the back would vent out the vapor easily not letting it down into the unit. If the vent was covered it might though. I wouldn't cover that though:mental:

Understood thanks!

Also ...
How exactly do the airflow vents work ... do you (or anyone) know? For example is there just a small chamber beneath the heater holes that leads to the vent opening...just an easy path for air? Or is it isolated by 4 pathways? Any ideas?

Edit :
To put it another way, when you pull from the stem, the air goes thru the vents to the heater to the herb, right? What's between the heater and the outside vents that the cold air flows through

Or shorter ... what is the air (not vapor) path?

The vent is a wide open space from the side to the underneath the bowl. This is the air path. Sorta like the sidekick. If you cover the vent all the way with your thumb it draws hard like the og units. If it's unobstructed you can get as much volume as your lungs can take as quickly as you can take it. I need another turbo stem to really test and see if I can mimic a mi or gh hit but in my early testing I'm pretty sure its possible.:2c:

Looks like I will have to make a new caddy with a place for the Solo II. Not enough room on the old one. My old one currently holds Solo I, Air, Hydrotube, 2 stems, stir tool, timer and a silicon ring to slip on a loaded prehit stem to prevent spilling as you stir before next session. (ring is my idea, home made) I tried to upload picture, but failed. I switch back and forth from Air to Solo I, but am beginning to favor the Air. Stems tighter, quicker heat up and less restricted air flow.

I chatted with puffitup about the solo 2 and they say they plan to get it sometime this month, their just waiting to be able to get some bulk orders in. No one over there has used one yet and they are not sure on price. that's all I got but I figured someone folks here might like to know that.

Question for owners, does the solo 2 feel more powerful than the 1. The first solo was my first vape and I liked a lot about it. wondering if you can draw faster and have it keep up, as well as perhaps vape a bowl quicker than 12 minuets. Be interested to know if it hits any harder than the original as well. Cheers people, keep doing the good work!

:) :)

Way better airflow

The first draw right away is tasty and wispy. The second is grasshopper like, slowly climbs to vapor production then when you hork on it, more vapor produced. The abv comes out light brown er then say my vid when I let it soak for 4 min. (dark brown) They accomplish this by a more wide open air intake. Whereas you can regulate your convection/conduction session. Convection/get it full heat hit it quick. Conduction/chill buddddddyyyy and let it flow.

I'm back in the Solo 2 club bitches!!! As always, AgraCan for life! I guess it's just part of being bipolar! :brow: Thanks @ShayWhiteGrow for pushing me over the edge!

Thanks @AJS for putting in the effort! Just wanted to add that since the top temperature is now 10c hotter than the Solo, it will definitely hit harder!

Glad youre back homie. Excited to ride this train with you ... will be a lot of fun sharing experiences.

Loving this thread so far. Moves at a pace slow enough to absorb good info but just fast enough to keep interest without spoiling anything. Eager to see how it picks up when pre orders get out.

I know I'll be getting some fat cloud videos and chill commentary for you guys the second mine arrives ... I love being an early adopter of a vape. I hopped on Milaana around page 35 before any units were even shipping and have ridden that wave into the 200+ page range ... such a fun journey. Looking forward to that with the Solo 2 as long as it holds up in my rotation!

17 full uses. Roughly 7 to 8 minute sessions. Average start temp (cold start temp) 50F. Literally less then 30 seconds to reach full temp from 50F. Average finish temp 420F. I didn't see the need to run the battery totally down.:D Now where the fuckcombustion is my charger? I haven't used it in a bit.

I didn't see if it stated somewhere if the wall charger from the regular Solo works with the newer Solo 2, @ShayWhiteGrow do you know? Just curious.
Solo 1 charger on left, Solo 2 charger on right. My Solo is a few years old so maybe they are the same now but in the comparison that one number is different so I'm not gonna try it.:disgust:

Assuming solo has decent battery management system, should be fine to use new charger with Solo, but probably wouldn't use old charger with Solo II because it will request more current than old charger can provide. Whereas old Solo should be smart enough to take only the current it needs from new charger.

I totally agree that you should strive to use the original charger that came with your device but I don't think that it would do any harm in this case.

The one on the left outputs 12V DC at 1.0amp (1000mA) and the one on the right outputs 12V DC at 1.5amp. The one on the left will charge your Solo II fine but just a little slower.

Having said that....always use original equipment supplied by the manufacturer if you can because of safety and warranty issues.
