Arizer Solo II

Is there any tip for minimize the cough up? I use D020 with my Solo II, starting bowls at 383F
Maybe lower the temp? or draw abit slower?

Both are easy to try and confirm the only metric really important here.....how it effects you? How it helps, or doesn't, others doesn't really matter in the end, right?

Cure can be a factor, dry herb tends to vape faster and more concentrated.

FWIW, many guys are irritated by the 'light stuff' that gives flavor but very little medicinal value. So, ironically higher temperatures and quickly 'puffing out' the first few puffs might help you? Experiment around and follow the results you like.

Enjoy your research.

I've just joined the bandwagon of the II this weekend and burned off any industrial oils after a full++ charge. I've also gone back a few pages and have the general idea of the kit I will develop. But, it will take a while to go back to page one. I intend to break in the beauty tonight.

Any exceptional posts in the thread that might be worth it to review first?

On another note, what are the little screens for they add to the basic kit? Are they some kind of "back-up" for the glass screen in the basic stem? (Obviously, not back-up. But, something to reduce the size of the holes?)

I shape them into a dome and use them to prevent the glass screen from becoming clogged. The glass screen consists of four tiny holes – if just one of those holes becomes clogged by a little piece of flower, the draw-ability is reduced by 1/4. Block two of those holes, and you're fighting an uphill battle, having increased your draw resistance by 50%.

Sorry..............the screens they just take up space and clog fast for me.
Just give it a light tamp and no debris in my mouth so........just not for me.
hehe, do you mean you grind the herb less? it works well? I don't like it i also don't like these sceens, will probably buy some capsules (heard that fury 2's capsules fit)

I get that too [and I love this thing! so convenient].

I'm trying these tips and also just cutting back on use [what're ya gonna do?]

-Carburate a little while inhaling [let air pass into yr mouth] and keep your mouth/throat wet if u can
-I'm down to 350F
-using glass w/ warm water
-just 2 or 3 heat ups per load, then into the ABV tin it goes
-as said, too dry is harsher

experiment and gain experience

[PS]
These are sticky resin molecules landing on yr trachea, so whatever the temperature, there's a point where yr body may not like it [esp. my old body].
Unless perhaps you've smoked ciggies all yr life? I dunno.

Welcome aboard.
I have quite a lot of screens that I bought a while ago, but I stopped using them.
It was "cooler" to load the herb with a screen, you can just sniff it in, but they are honestly not needed.

My method of loading has changed and I hardly get small particles.
First off, don't fine grind the herb, I usually use finger scissors instead of a grinder.
Then, take some and kinda stick it together inside the stem, this will build like a "wall" that will shield off particles ;) keep loading the stem but don't pack it tight, be gentle, tread lightly.

Solid tips right there.

I don't think cig smoking has anything to do with it as I'm a smoker [lowers head in shame] and I still cough with vapor usually. :ugh:

:peace:

I was lucky enough to snag a couple vapes that @VCBud was selling to make room for new stuff, and the Solo II (First Arizer product) was among them! Also got a Milaana (first RBT product) and Omni XL (first VapCap). What's so cool is now I've come back around to some vapes I've contemplated buying over the years and I'm over the moon with how great these all are.

Anyway, bringing it back on topic, any essential pieces or additions for the Solo II? I foresee a cooling stem in my future...

I wonder if perhaps that's an Air stem shown in the Solo II? It looks kind of short. If so, I'd definitely pick up a longer stem or two.

My next buy for the Solo II is the Ed's TnT Stem, it's wooden strong stem which can also be used as a 14mm "Wong" adapter, and some capsules. How's the Milaana comparing to the Solo II ?

Well right off the bat I'm having really great results with the Solo II. Just like the Mighty, this thing is super easy but the flavor completely trumps the Mighty. I definitely want cooler vapor, so I'll continue investigating options that are still portable.

The Milaana is beautiful, but this is my first unregulated battery vape so it's taking some learning. Conceptually I know how it works and I've gotten good results, just not consistent ones. I'm still experimenting with the different short stems and even rigged up a Frankenstein contraption of my own (ELB inside 18mm M drop down plus Evo Helio mouth piece) that ended up working really well. I can't quite seem to make it as hot as I want yet, and having a hard time polishing off the bowl. Is that just the nature of the heater tuning and the upper limit of my 18650? I need to read up more on this one.

The Omni has seen the most use, but it's too early for me to really have a final opinion on any of them.

By all means consider the little bubbler stem from PIU:
https://www.puffitup.com/Arizer-Air-Solo-H2O-Filtration-Stem-p/qtqc.solo-bubb.htm

It's about the same size as the stock stem (unless you get the longer version.....), and is still very portable. There are built in water traps on each end, it doesn't leak at all, even on it's side in your pocket.

Glad you like your Solo, it's a good one for sure.
