Anvil by Vestratto

looks very interesting.

The Anvil is a new vape being released by Vestratto. Completely made in North America, it is constructed of 3 layers. The outer and inner skins are stainless with a copper core layer sandwiched between them. It has many similarities to a DynaVap as well as many advantages.

Similarities:
  • flame powered
  • round marker like design
  • temperature clicker
Advantages:
  • Copper Core More Evenly Heats
  • Scientifically Designed Using Lung Inhalation Principles
  • Clicker Measures Bowl Temp Not Cap Temp
  • Real Adjustable Airflow Through The Herb
  • Designed To Excel At Riding The Line (1 bowl fully extracted in 1 hit)
  • Changeable Bowl Types & Sizes
  • Natively Fits 14mm Female Down Stems
  • Standard Bowl Holds Slightly More Than a DynaVap
We had to coin a new term to describe the Anvil Experience:
"Estratto"
An "Estratto" is a Dab from flower! A perfect extraction that faithfully reproduces the herb's essence.

This is a video showing loading a standard bowl, heating and ripping it through water. Instant whitewall so thick it looks like smoke, but it's all tasty vapor as evident by the ABV shown.

Waaay! I honestly wanted the gold/brass but that was only offered with the Ukraine bundles.

Might wanna double knot your sneakers: the Anvil runs a high risk of knocking your socks off

Have been super busy with no time to post but…wow…the hype is real…this thing has changed my perspective of what to expect not from just vaporizers but from vaporization on the whole.

Btw, the magnets and torches you suggested work perfectly.

Oh, and I totally agree…gold is the best color. I’m probably gonna end up ordering a few more bits, here’s to hoping they add a gold option.

Oh, and in case anyone isn’t aware, the battery gets very hot!
I‘ve already branded my thumb with with a distinctive double line. The sizzling sound was pretty disturbing!!
I have that same blister too. I think it’s like the anvil club secret handshake.

Here is a pic of 0.68g avb after 3 heat cycles (temp stepping).
The dark bits are not combusted - if I roll between fingers there is no ashy residue.

To the left, what the spiral looks like after about 15-20 heat cycles.

I know I am in the minority, but I am over Anvil. It is such a heavy butane suck, too hot for back to back bowls and IMO really does not provide a better experience than any of my other vapes. I do appreciate the full extraction, but I find their delivery is at a huge expense of flavor... I am going to leave the comparisons to other threads, but overall I have been less than pleased with this one.

Yeah, after a few months with both, my DCE wins the reach test over the Anvil at home, and I still usually go for one of my DVs for a portable. But the Anvil is still close at hand in both situations. At home, it's my green-out go-to. If I want that "Damn, did someone lace my weed with fentanyl?" feeling, I'll load a half chamber and clear it in a dense hit. It's best if I'm sitting down for that. On the go, I'll use it for speed dosing when I don't have time for a few leisurely cycles on the Dyna. One full chamber is cleared in a couple of minutes. It does mean giving up the first-pull terp bomb I get with the DCE or Dyna, but otherwise I'm psyched to have the Anvil in my lineup.

What torch is your go to?

Also you can remove the bowl with a six dollar keychain magnet and do back to back pretty easily or just screw on a separate bowl too I suppose. When you say "too hot" I'm taking that to mean the device and not like harsh vapor

Looks like a Lotta flies on your trap there:D
Take it out and give it a whirl👍 I'm really liking the flavor now for that size of a hit plus all the spectrum of effects from start to finish!

Definitely possible to do back to back. Take advantage of that magnetic cap. Screw off chamber while on cap and then hold body of cap to scoop ground herb or use it as stand as you scoop more in. Then screw back on body and good to go.

Vapes R Great
Yeah after getting a proper working bowl, it’s super easy to hot swap, even with same bowl

Just use the case magnet or a dynastash, unscrew bowl with magnet, sit hot Anvil body in glass piece, hold stash with bowl on magnet to de bowl on my debowler.
fill from grinder the same way if bowl still feels too hot to touch. Grab anvil body and screw back on bowl, stick back in water piece, grab torch and let er rip!.

I bought a full flowerpot B1 setup at the same time and as great as it is, I think I’m having more fun with the Anvil.

Anvil all morning/day, Supreme & Flowerpot by night… all day

I just got the one that stands on its own. But have had other design for a while. Great torches overall. And can do a good job with the Anvil. Just don't expect Firefox results. Some of my favorite lighters. For pockets, I'm about either that or the BT4000 Pencil torch (nice long tube pocket combo with Anvil case and Zam grinder).

@TeaCup
Texus, could you clarify. I'm not understanding if your talking about the one I linked or a different one? One that stands?

I'm not sure if this should be here or in the shipping thread. So shipping is $25 from Canada to Michigan thru Vestratto. I just ordered from futo, who also is in Canada and there shipping is only $10. Does anyone have a legitimate reason for this?

Yeah I observed that shipping was more than twice my BCG or V3 Pro, both from Canada stores. All folks wanted to say about it was that Canada Post is so expensive and things cost more to ship lately but the Anvil package is so small and not fragile it still sounds kinda sus to me.

It reminds me more of a one person accessory maker padding their shipping to recoup their PayPal fees. Chalk it up to growing pains with Vestratto as a business maybe? What I can say is that, while I disliked paying twice as much to ship a tiny box, the Anvil is a great performer and so in demand that you can sell it used to recoup the high shipping cost as well if need be

Well i certainly hope I like it enough to not sell it. At one point the shipping was $20 now $25. I was putting the blame on Canada post, but now I wonder who/what is the reason.

What’s up with that odd “you have to wait 5 minutes between bowls” narrative on that *other* site?

I’ve just done 3 RTL hits in a row no issue, anyone experienced issues doing this?

Maybe it's my origin story as a Splinter maven but to me it looks like folks who blame the device instantly when they aren't able to use it properly right away.

Granted it doesn't come with instructions but yeah my guess is anyone complaining about the Anvil being slow at back to back doesn't have a keychain magnet for immediate reloading (or the tasty two hit bowls Whiff showed us)

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Troy and Jerry live with the Anvil.

I have to go back and watch the clip again, but I didn't get the sense that Troy or Jerry were that enamored with the Anvil. Troy was talking about it for a while, but kept hitting his Flowerpot. Jerry was talking about the pros and cons of the Anvil, but kept hitting his herborizer. I don't think either of them actually used it on the show last night.

Interesting. I paid $30 for my most recent shipment of accessories. DHL was the carrier. Very efficient.

I got the Alpha Red heat shield and one 1/2 bowl. I love both. I’ll get another 1/2 bowl and the Blue heat shield when the .2 bowl becomes available. And I’ll probably get more o-rings and screens so the shipping makes sense.

So far I’m very much loving the Anvil vaporizing experience. I’m glad I picked up the magnetic tube. It really is a necessary piece of kit.

I’ve found that the Blazer Firefox is the perfect torch for repeatable results. Another necessary piece of kit. And it holds several days worth of butane for my usage.

And I have a specific water piece assigned to it that has the best match to the Anvil’s airflow.

It’s easy to clean and reassemble, and as many others are doing, it’s when I set the airflow. Way easier to do when assembling than it is later.

I think having two 1/2 bowls for morning meds, two .1 bowls for daytime, and one .2 bowl for nighttime will be a perfect inventory.

Now someone needs to design a magnetic board to put 5 bowls and one Anvil. I’d be first in line.
