What actually comes with the Anvil?
I'm getting my email today but can't see any info on what you get, whether you have a choice of colours, full bowl/half bowl etc or does it just come as standard and if I want those other things I have to buy them?
Cheers
It comes with a full bowl and a heatshield in the color of your choice. You need to buy separately the extras: half bowl, case, extra screens/o-rings... Unfortunately "kits" are no longer available.

So even the little thing I see people using to remove the bowl when it's hot?
Is that part of the case that I need to buy separate?

Cheers

Yes, that's the lid of the case. Alternatively people are using magnets, also the Reload container from Mad Heater has been confirmed that works like a charm to remove the bowl.
Oh, that's excellent news as I have one of them. It's a great little thing. Something I didn't know I needed until I bought it haha.

Thanks for the help. Really appreciated.

My first attempt at a link so hope it works. It’s to a Ronxs torch lighter I have been using for the last month with a Founders unit.It is currently on sale. It is double or single flame which I use both. It has a nice large trigger and feels solid in the hand. I have used for a month with zero problems. A very good torch for the Anvil and your choice of 1 or 2 flame. Also very quiet for a torch.

Hoping to get the order e-mail soon. I'd try my hands at that kit on Wednesday but I already know that will be sold out too quick lol.

My Anvil and assorted accessories arrived this morning. I was prepared to be disappointed after the hype induced disappointment of many other newest, latest vape. After the first bowl (the first time I’ve managed to kill a bowl in one hit with so little effort) I was sold and after 4 bowls I’m thinking about where to store my Dynavap gear!

If you’ve been on the fence on this one it’s time to leap.

Damn the high pricing for spare screens and o rings, which really should be included out of common courtesy, is a bit annoying. Also annoying it's not possible to buy the half bowl with the anvil if you don't want the full bowl. Got my order email, but definitely feeling hesitant having run the numbers. Anyone know if the screens are like the dv ccd's or just normal mesh screens?

Emails were sent out at 12pm EST so check your email and junk folders, hopefully you were one of the people who received theirs today.

Thanks Whiff. yeah man, I've been checking all my folders since the drops have been happening recently. I believe I hopped on the train late, is all. I'm probably behind so many people on the list lol. Hoping to at least get my crack at one before 4/20.

Thanks for the heads up on this torch. Lot of positive reviews on this unit. Good inexpensive alternative to the Fire Fox.

I've had my user upgrade from the founders for a bit now, and while it was a bit of a wait to get to this point, I think the user edition upgrades are noticeable individually, and combine to create a significant enough upgrade that I'm having difficulty balancing between selfishness and evangelism when trying to decide which unit to ship my friend to see what the fuss is about.

I'm going to hold back until the waitlist people are all taken care of, but I like it enough and have used my other vapes infrequently enough am going to consider a backup Anvil and downsizing elsewhere.

Of the several torches I tried when I got my founders, this has become my go-to and I have been fairly happy with it, although I do wish it had visible fill indicator. I tried in dual but use single exclusively as the parallel flames are spaced a smidge too wide for Anvil IMO. Single with appropriate valve adjustment gives enough power to properly use all three estratto profiles. Maybe I'll still buy a blazer someday but I haven't been searching since I got this one.

Yes, they are essentially the same thing as dv ccd with a different pattern, not a traditional mesh. Same size, so cross compatible if you already have your own stock. Pricing seems reasonable to me, these are Ti, a 3 pack of those from DV directly is a buck more.

Have a good supply of DV ccd. Noticed the Anvil ccd has a center slot in the middle. Thought that it was necessary for the removal, as there is only access to the ccd from one side and has to be pried out unlike the DV where it can be pushed from the back side.

Prying a DV ccd out of a indented area without a special engineered slot seems a bit risky, especially if done often. Is this a case of me over thinking this, and insertion and removal of a DV ccd for cleaning on the Anvil won't effect it's longevity?

The new user condenser is much easier to push out the screen from the back than the founder version, not quite as easy as removing a screen from a dynavap tip but relatively comparable. I personally think these are fragile parts prone to breakage with frequent reinsertion and plan to buy the tool ASAP, but maybe I'm just a bull in a china shop and others will have a more smooth experience. I mangled dyna ccds too, after all..

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't very clear, as my question was concerning the screen in the bowl. Seems like it would be difficult to remove with out a slot available, as there is no way to push it out, only pry it out. Maybe a 90 degree bent wire that's entered through an air intake slot to push it up?

Hey I just got my anvil, it looks amazing but I would have liked some simple instructions for assembly and airflow adjustment etc, even the website is lacking that, I haven’t figured out which part is the airflow adjustment and I know it’s likely been covered here but combing 90 pages is a lot to find a comment. So far it looks amazing though and I’ll report back after some rips.

Here you go, video on how to disassemble, reassemble and adjust airflow

Yes, I have to imagine those would be very difficult to service if they have a founder or dynavap CCD. On the bright side, although they touch the herb they're on the airpath side, so they don't dirty particularly quickly. My herb chambers aren't picture perfect, but that screen still shows no fouling or reduced airflow even after heavy use since the initial founder release. On the other hand, I have needed to remove the condenser screen for a proper deep cleaning several times since.

They may be the same physical subcomponent, but I don't see the herb chamber screen as a fragile frequent fiddling hazard the same way I see the condenser screen. All the ones shipping now will have that slot, and I expect that fashioning your own pull tool for the slot will be easier than a push option, and if you're putting your pre-owned CCDs in the condenser, you have a spare for the herb chamber if you do have an issue at your occasional herb chamber cleaning.
