Can anyone tell me if a BB9 will fit in the AE? Looking into stem options when not using it with the WPA.

Already thinking about this and the unit only ships tomorrow 🤦‍♂️. VAS hadn't flared up for a while but alas.... here I am again 😆
i think so 12mm od glass is all that it requires. if bb9 works on potv 1 and lobo, it should work fine

I don't own any POTV vapes so I can't test that.

I think Arizer stems are 11mm OD so maybe they could also be adapted with an o-ring or something. I'll test my BB9 and see if it'll fit in my S3. That should give me an idea whether it's 11mm or 12mm OD or maybe even something else.

does those arizer stem have 4 or 5 hole glass screens built in? fucking up airflow a bit?

Most of them do, yes... unfortunately... but there are stem options with regular mesh screens (often called hi-flow stems) and they're great. What you can do if you're stuck without a hi-flow stem is to place a regular mesh screen on top of the glass screen to keep the holes from getting clogged. This actually works really well and will make sure your glass screen never clogs.

If none of the little glass holes is blocked then the airflow is actually quite open - however I still prefer the mesh screen hi-flow stems. Just easier to clean and/or replace the screen.

how long until the AE arrives?? :)
I think it's only shipping out today bc I had to wait for the glass capsules to arrive. Shipping from Canada so that helps. Will probably only land next week Monday. *Sigh*

I might be more anxious than @TigoleBitties! I am sending in my Solo 3 today for warranty repair and relying on my Venty. The VAS is hitting hard.
Damn, what happened?

The left / right buttons are getting a little too flakey.

I know that feeling well! Did you get it from a vendor here or does YLLVape ship from Canada?

how many users of ae are using level 5 max heating of 428f or boost up to 446f, nearly all the time?
my fave level is #3 with a 2min +18f button boost at end of my 5min session.

Hey! Christmas came early and it got delivered today 👏.

Charging it up now. You get so much stuff with this guy it's obscene. I don't notice much of any smell from the unit or the case. That might change when I turn it on though. After charging it's some burnoffs and then we'll see. I may not have time for impressions until later tonight.

That side bubbler is the tits! So cute.

Hey all. So I passed out and fell asleep last night during testing 🤦‍♂️😆

I still have more to do but here's my initial impressions...

-Quality of materials and the unit looks great.
-I did notice normal burnoff smells and did 3 burnoffs before using.
-Started with a full bowl coarse ground (no capsules) on level 2 with the side bubbler dry.
-Very very flavorful with plenty of terps coming through but I found it too hot even on level 2. Was a new strain so couldn't be sure if it was the terp blast but I had moments that were very irritating on the throat. Final roast was uniform and light caramel so confused about the power level.
- Tried a new bowl starting at level 1 and also moved to the WPA with a dry sherlock for more cooling - better - but I still feel like I'd like to start at even lower temps even though level 1 is 356F. Feeling dumb that I didn't fork out for the programming cable.

Managed to try another bowl with torn nuggets instead of coarse ground to compensate for the heat and it was flavorful but not much vapor. I'm seeing differences here with respect to the S3 as the Angus is really pure convection so not much assistance from conduction when dealing with torn nuggets.

I think the unit has promise but I need to dial it in more. Will try using the capsules and need to think on getting the programming cable.

you need cooling 4 to 6 mm cooling balls or water in the bubblier. use balls in stems with the ball-stem holders in place. med grind is best no pack. if level 1 gets you, you are even more heat sensitive than me. use of water might help. cooling balls and gems are great. if your herb is heavy on terps, you are going to cough at any heat level. these are just my opinions not facts.

So I tried another bowl today with a capsule on level 1 and this was much much better. I suspected the glass might help to tame the initial heat and blunt the terp blast a little and it did. Very very similar taste profile to the S3 when used this way although there are subtle differences due to the greater amount convection in the mix. Vapor production is great and the terps are very pronounced which I love.

I think I can get to love this vape but I still need to try some more things with different strains. Really regretting not getting the cable because I suspect this vape could be excellent at lower temps. I can't imagine anyone using it much above level 2 without going through water. I don't think it's the heat but the terps combined with the dryness of full convection? More to examine...
