you really need an external charger and extra batteries. p26a will work fine but not as long as p28a. this is my opinionAre there still issues with some units not charging certain batteries? I have a couple of Molicel P26a batteries so wonder if these will work. The guide recommends the P28a. Are there any likely issues (I do not have an external battery charger)?
my side-car bubblier, i filled my inner cooler pipe 3/4 way full of 4mm and 5mm quartz glass balls. helps a ton but a bitch to clean. Lee @tabletopbongs did his that way on his youtube channel, i think.Am I imagining things and losing my mind or did someone on this board or YouTube full up thr sidecar bubbler with Terp pearls. Who or where was that? Anyone have feed back on that?
Where did you purchase that many beads? Trying to find a cheap source, leaning towards vgoodiez and doing that with a venty bubblermy side-car bubblier, i filled my inner cooler pipe 3/4 way full of 4mm and 5mm quartz glass balls. helps a ton but a bitch to clean. i still have not needed to replace o-rings anywhere. i but a little bees wax on my finger tip and coat the o-rings once every couple weeks, it protects, prevents stretching, and cuts down friction. everything will make sense when you have the unit. there are many youtube videos on it's use out there. don't worryHey FC/AE gang,
Well, I ordered an AE and am eagerly awaiting it here in Michigan, away from my normal Oregon home, hoping to try some of the local product.
But in reading the user manual, … “I have some questions” [/insert approp. meme]:
OK, thanks for any help y’all can provide. Perhaps this will all be obvious once I have it in hand, but I will be rarin’ to go right after the burn-off, I’m sure.
- The glass stem screens shown in the diagram on page 2: are these just for putting balls (e.g., ruby) in the stems, to hold them in place? I didn’t order balls, seems a bit odd that the screens are included but the balls are optional. Maybe many people have their own balls? [/insert approp. joke]
- I don’t see where the O-rings go, unless inside the stems to hold the screens from above, all just to … hold the balls? Seems fussy for the, IIUC, optional balls.
- I assume the herb goes in between the chamber screen and the mouthpiece screen, thus in some sense inside the stem holder. In other words, place herb on top of chamber screen after step 6 on page 4, then attach stem/stem holder assembly in step 7. (And presumably similarly when using WPA or sidecar bubbler, as on page 7.)
- In normal operation, i.e. after initial assembly and between cleanings, I assume that the various screens (and O-rings), perhaps even the stem holder, can stay in place. Or perhaps the stem holder comes off in order to attach the loading funnel (but with e.g. chamber screen remaining in place)? Do the stem holder and / or loading funnel screw in place, or snap on?
5. Oh, and by the way, I assume that I can / should also do some alcohol an swab cleaning, e.g of glass parts … but perhaps (ver y carefully) into the chamber are, or on the funnel and stem holder … but maybe the plastic on those latter parts will not tolerate alcohol.I expect I will start with long stem and sidecar bubbler, perhaps even trying the latter dry as well.
Thanks again!

I had my original Angus get stolen out of my car 2 days after receiving the unit. I reached out to Mike to commiserate. He gave me 50% off an AE. Needless to say I ordered it and have had it for a bit and the thing chucks smooth, fat, tasty clouds at my face for minutes at time. I have to give myself a respite from time to time to allow my body to absorb the vapor and not just look like a dragon.
For best results I've been starting on 4 as soon as it vibrates i do 5 quick cigar like puffs to "prime" the herb, no vapor should be expected from the primer pulls. Then I just give it a nice longish draw, not super hard or anything, just a nice consistent pull. The first pull I'm blowing clouds. I usually hit it a couple times on 4 then step up to 5. I have found when I step temp and you can see the bulb is lit from the bottom is when I get my best/biggest hits. It's like as soon as you step to the next temp the heaters starts up and this is when you can really pull on it.
The only thing I find myself missing is an on demand mode. I think the AE could be an even bigger beast with an on demand mode or if holding the button would activate the heater. I feel the AE is perfect for this, it has a decent thermal battery with the rubies. This helps with heat retention so you can take a good pull let off the heater and the rubies retain a lot of heat so the next hit doesn't take as much power or time. If your not drawing the heat isn't being transferred to the herb in a meaningful way. So the residual heat won't cook your herb. I think this would allow you to get 4 or 5 really good big rips over the course of a a couple mins if you wanted. Instead of the 8-12 pretty decent hits I get in session mode.
One last things. I believe the AE can be used as stem loading device. If you take the cap that holds the bubbler and stuff off, a 14mm male fits pretty good into the oven. So it would be similar to a milaana load but with a 14 instead 18 mm stem.
Oh I'll do a review@TigoleBitties I've been eyeing this up too. You got me hooked on the Solo 3 so I will be interested to hear your thoughts on the AE.
if you are low temp vapor user, then on the ae start at level 2 (375°F). my favorite is level 3 (395f) and remember you have a +18f boost mode you can hold down and use on every level. i use boost button instead of using level 4. be sure to get some 4/6mm balls for you stained glass stems and use stem stoppers on each end to hold balls in place. if you buy $9 program cord, you can program custom heat setting too. also airpath on bottom and is adjustable. i like mine wide open. clean oven in upside down position while avb is still soft to prevent crumbs from going through oven screen to oven ball areaOh I'll do a review
I think some users in here who actually own S3s think this beast is even tastier. I'm impressed with the halogen signature already so I don't think those are idle observations. I need to see for myself. Right now the S3 is king of my portables so let's see if the Angus can claim the throne.
I just returned from a week long business trip in Sweden and fired up the S3 with some squeaky-clean glass (XL high flow WPA with dimpled sherlock) at 328F and it was tasty af. I'm sure some of that was the forced t-break but damn. It was nice. Gonna be hard to beat.
Sorry for the comparison-like discussion in here mods. I'll stop now.
Excited to get the Angus and put it through it paces!

balls work but gems are better. i do not like water much it stinks lol. i even use gem with side bubblier.. yea harder to clean but i got a system lolOk, thanks for the tips!
I was planning to use it either with the side bubbler dry, or inverted with the WPA and a dry pipe of my own. I didn't want to invest in any cooling balls because I don't think they're as effective and they're a pain to clean.
Ok. Any reason why you use gems with the side bubbler? Is the vapor really that hot?balls work but gems are better. i do not like water much it stinks lol. i even use gem with side bubblier.. yea harder to clean but i got a system lol
no, improves flavor, tames the terps bite a little and i like real neutral room temp air, the cooler the better. i have a very tender throat and bad asthma and i'm older than dirt.Ok. Any reason why you use gems with the side bubbler? Is the vapor really that hot?
