quick question: are avlp2 orders covered by the 15 day return policy? I ask because it says "Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded." I expect to like it but would like to make sure my bases are covered...
At least if you are in the EU have the right to return it within 14 days of receiving it

Now, onto a more functional issue. I’m dealing with a gasket seal/leak problem on my LP2. Here’s how I’ve been testing for a proper seal:
  • I place my fingertip over the air intake screen and lightly inhale.
  • If I feel suction on my finger and don’t hear air leaks, I consider the gasket sealed.
My Legacy Pro V1 passes this test perfectly.

The LP2, on the other hand, does not.

Opposite for me. My steampunk doesnt seem to have much of a seal doing this, while my LP2 immediately stops the airflow.

My steampunk works perfectly fine, regardless. I don't see or smell any vapor escaping when I'm not inhaling, so im not too bothered. If anything it's so minimal I wouldn't worry about it.

....where are they? I would like to see that!
How do you switch from F to C on this one? I tried every combo possible...omg I am just loosing it. Anyone know this phenomenon please?

Figure it out....power and down button at the same time!

PS I just hit it and it is smooth as fuck....omg the airflow is perfect. OMG THIS VAPE ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so improved over the last ALP version....

WOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOWOOWOWOOWOOWOW ALP2 continues to ROCK....even with the funky speckled turdy cover....I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE this vape!!!!! Amazing....perfect!
Dr. G - I love it. Can’t wait for my own “funky speckled turdy cover” to arrive. Too funny.

Glad to hear that your LP2 doesn’t have this problem! I’m not worried about smell of vapor escaping thought the lid. My problem is an air leak draws in fresh air in through the gasket and is negative to the performance of the vape.

that gasket just peels off.. unscrew that little wheel try taking it off and giving it a soapy water wash and a good hot water rinse? wipe up behind it and where it makes contact by the bowl with some iso.. then re-seat it in its place.. worth a shot if you haven't tried it.. they sell replacement gaskets for the pro..not sure if the same one on the 2?

Thanks for the tip! I’ve tried a new gasket on the V2 as mentioned in my earlier posts. The V2 gasket is a bit different from the V1 but there is a spare gasket that comes in the accessories box. I tried to clean and reset my current gasket but to no avail. I suspect it is a problem with the hinge not putting enough pressure down on the lid to make a seal with the gasket.

Best to contact cs@airvapeusa.com for an official answer
Ok, I did and they confirmed: "If you decide to return the PRO 2 due to any issues with the device, we can absolutely process a refund for it. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we stand by the quality of our products—even during the early rollout."

So I will hang in there.

Greetings, I took the Alp2 to a theatre production. My seat was in the back. I took my Alp2 out and had a really nice session. NO smell, no problem. It was fantastic. Since I wear therapeutic gloves it became stealthy in my hand...the vape is totally improved and it also comes with the ugliest cloth cover in designer history. Hideous. Please change this cloth cover the vape is excellent! I love mine.

No smell from a dhv? You sure about that?

I checked the steampunk version again and when I cover the back air entry I do feel some resistance/seal as soon as I block it.. but if I pull hard enough I can overcome it and get a little air (may not be fully sealing the back screen w/thumb tho).. still works fine in normal operation (been using it the past few days) at 392F for 5 or 6 / 12 second draws or so (rapid back to back) till the taste goes .. got spoiled with the other vapes and seem to be able to take longer draws as it stays much cooler then the ted's

not sure if it would pull that 'extra' air in during a normal operation pull without it being covered to create some resistance.. I think as long as when pulling it creates some air pressure to send the vapor to your mouth it's probably fine?

the door closes down with a loud click and there is really no play to squeeze the door down any further.. will check v2 whenever it decides to show up..

Do you think the areas where the abhorent (as I understand, don't have mine yet) fabric lives has enough depth to accept a replacement piece made of glove leather or wood vieneer (however you spell it)? Perhaps, if the foul pieces are carefully removed they would make nice templates for replacement pieces in a more pleasing material.

Thanks for checking your device, I appreciate the community feedback! I’m gently doing these tests and not deliberately trying to overpower the seal. I can definitely see how that’s possible and have had that happen when doing my tests on the V1 and V2.

As a reference, the air leak on my LP2 is to the point where I can hear the change when putting pressure on the lid. Ya know how every vape has its own signature “whistle” when you’re hitting it? The signature whistle audibly changes when pressing on the bottom corner of the lid, pretty much above where the magnetic screen is on the device.
When I hold down the lid, the increase in vapor performance/density is very noticeable and performs like my Legacy Pro (with a bit better airflow). I’m talking with CS about it now, but my worry is that it may be common for the pro.

I’m hoping this is something that can be fixed by designing a bit heavier duty gasket in the bottom hing side corner. That’s where I suspect the leak is coming from.

Yes, my AVLP V1 did that when it was new. It slowly went away as it got gunked up in that seam. I'm sure I could get it spinning again with a really thorough cleaning.
mine never spins or moves and keep the steampunk and og spotless unit. unless the wording is not catching my member-berry.

It's unlikely you'd notice unless you were intentionally trying to spin it. Some may also be a slightly tighter fit than others so they may not all spin. The bottom plate of the bowl with the concentric rings of holes definitely spun around when my unit was new. It's not a defect, so @MegaChip has nothing to worry about.

Well...two things; no one kicked me out or called the police and two, after the first hit I was totally medicated and high as fuck. So, at that moment I did not smell it. LOLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! But, now come to think of it...maybe it did smell and no one wanted to bother with the crazy person in the back seat of a theatre with a vape.

PS Next time I will be more careful. I will pull out a Volcano balloon! LOL Can you imagine how funny that would be.
