AirVape Legacy Pro / AVLP 2

I clean mine with denatured alcohol cause it's cheaper than isopropyl. After half a year of daily usage the gasket is deformed and needs replacement, but Im not sure if the alcohol or the heat is causing it to degrade

I usually use an alcohol wipe or a dunked cotton swab on the rubber pieces.
if you think your silicone gaskets are drying out or wanting to do some preventive action, put some 100% hemp oil on q-tip/or cloth and rub it into the rubber (it cleans well too) a little, then wipe dry with soft cotton cloth. i've been doing this on silicone and to clean my scs grinder when there to much trics deposits on scs friction points. it works like magic on the grinder. lol

How are you finding the new V2 overall?
Fast heat up. Good UI, build quality seems solid, especially like the door (in the pics it looks like a flimsy piece of plastic but it's not). Produces nice clouds. The taste is ok, not bad but also not better than my tempest. It gets a bit warm with a 5 minute session but nothing concerning.
Got several stuff in the package like a wax insert, extra screens etc. Which I think is a really good addition. Mouthpiece fits very snug.
I like the airflow, neither too restricted nor too open.
Hits seem to be cool, at least in the 340f to 410f range (didn't go above that).

Cons: It still tastes a bit like rubber, which is not surprising considering there is lots of rubber in the air path. I do think this will be no problem in a few weeks though.
Also, I have several bubbles under the cork which kinda sucks and I am a bit worried the cork will come off long-term but we will see.
Cleaning seems like more work than with the classic dynavap, but will still be manageable.
Dosing caps also seem necessary to not make a mess.

And a neutral point that I just find weird: You can change the session timer to 3, 5 and 9 minutes by hold power + up. But if you are at 9 minutes already and hold power + up you get to some weird kind of game mode? Tells you "Level 1" and to inhale, then "beast" and to inhale and then "godlike"? Looks like some mode where the temp is automatically upped every time but no idea.

I do not have the avlp1 to compare it too though, only tempest, VapMan, dynavaps and a ballvape

that's a hit game that the steampunk og v1 unit came out with it. i can remember how to use it cause i don't play draw/hit games. ask Gary, if interesting. I tried it but not into taking hits in a time limit progression

Nice review. I think you'll find it to be a reliable, tasty portable for on the go with the capsules. If you got the 99$ price it's really a steal.

Mine just arrived. It looks nice. No real bubbles on the cork. Tiny creases like my steampunk on the end, which will be flattened over time by just rubbing em out as you use it. Feels nice. For all my vapes I usually set the ovens to max and do dry runs to break them in and possibly burn off anything that was used in the production process. That new electronic smell. etc

If you haven't tried it yet, these things do incredible microdoses. Set it to 420F/215C. Use a small pinch of bud. It'll surprise you.

Just following up with more thoughts on the Legacy Pro 2 after some extended use.

My girlfriend loves it. And has the unpopular opinion of preferring the new cork finish. ā€œShe said ā€œI find the gold accents very tastefulā€. With that said, the cork does have the issues of bad alignment and a couple of small ripple flaws/air bubbles, but it’s nothing we can’t overlook.

Now, onto a more functional issue. I’m dealing with a gasket seal/leak problem on my LP2. Here’s how I’ve been testing for a proper seal:
  • I place my fingertip over the air intake screen and lightly inhale.
  • If I feel suction on my finger and don’t hear air leaks, I consider the gasket sealed.
My Legacy Pro V1 passes this test perfectly.

The LP2, on the other hand, does not. I have to press down on the bottom hinge-side corner of the lid to create a proper seal. I will try and swap in the spare gasket that comes in the accessories box.

If you have an LP2, could you try this test and let me know your results?
Appreciate any feedback!

Edit: swapping the gasket with a new one didn’t work.

That's a bummer if it's true

Maybe not every unit is affected. That would explain why your experience was so negative compared to the others here
Yea I doubt every unit is affected and hope other users can report back if there unit has a good seal. My v1 has a good gasket seal and I can just press the corner on my v2 for know to know what performance is like when working properly.

Edit: details
