Greetings, after using the Alp2 for this whole week and more...I can say that the vape is very good plus! A sure improvement over the last model! The only thing that is horrendous is the cloth cover. My vape has gigantic bubbles and parts are actually coming off now. I did reach out to Gary and sent him a video but, I also got a letter from the company asking me for the video to look at. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this with their unit. This problem has turned me off of the ALp2...when I look at my vape it looks used and old already because of that cover. Anyway, I hope all of you enjoy your Alp2 and I hope you do not have the problem that I do.

Cheers everyone!

PS This waiting turned out to be anticlimactic...I waited in anticipation for something completely amazing...and it is certainly not. Dissatisfied. I truly am sorry to say. The vape is truly ace. The FLAVOR is immense!

On the shipping thread Gary was complaining about problems with the factory but I didn't get 100% clarity from his message. I am guessing the material bubbling is part of the issues he referenced and as a result it's gonna be a bit before we see any more go out to customers.

Can we see pictures so far no one has shown us what’s going on

upside of delays: there's a chance someone might post a how to on replacing the fabric by the time I get mine. (I'm genuinely kind of excited by the idea of customizing this thing.)

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Well...two things; no one kicked me out or called the police and two, after the first hit I was totally medicated and high as fuck. So, at that moment I did not smell it. LOLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! But, now come to think of it...maybe it did smell and no one wanted to bother with the crazy person in the back seat of a theatre with a vape.

PS Next time I will be more careful. I will pull out a Volcano balloon! LOL Can you imagine how funny that would be.

Haha yeah I've been in movie theaters hitting on demand pure convection vape like Milaana OG or impcognito, next to friends that are familiar with the smell, and they had no idea... Probably not the most respectful thing to do in a public space like that, but if you can do it carefully controlled, then there may not be an issue (just be careful and mindful)

I mean that is typical, the problems of the consumerist addiction, but yeah the outer fabric parts of the design, leather etc, were always a huge turn off for me on this vape... Still trying to keep an open mind for my pre-order as the price was right at least, but I'm not emotionally invested

I def have a bunch of vinyl wrap around to replace the organic decorative panels with. TBH I wish I could just be sent an unadorned unit to save me time and get it shipped sooner.

Seeing initial reports, as well as the delays, has me losing enthusiasm overall.

Still the best Dry Herb Vape for festivals

Can you elaborate on this?

Slight correction here: That was not a special upgrade price, if you pre-ordered in April you got that price without using the upgrade offer. I own an AVLP 1 but didn't use an upgrade offer to get the pre-order pricing.

The AVLP 1 also was having very frequent deep discounts or "buy 2 for the price of 1" offers, so the retail price does indeed feel like a "trap" for people that don't know about this fact.

Edit: And as much as I love my AVLP, and expect to love my AVLP 2, if I pre-ordered this device for the full retail price of $269 with the promise of receiving it in June, only to see people receive their first units with quality control issues in July, I would be pretty pissed off as well. If I was in that position I would probably cancel my pre-order as well, and wait for the quality control issues to be fixed and the device being on sale for a discount again (which is only a matter of time if you look at past Airvape sales)

But if you pre-ordered this device for $100/100€, like I did, then you would be insane to cancel your pre-order. A 2 month delay and some air bubbles under the adhesive are a small price to pay for how much value you are getting for your money with this device, and I expect the air bubbles to be an easy fix

Great points. You gave insight to both sides of the coin.

I agree, though. Why cancel it?
It's not like they have horrible customer service to the point of not wanting to contact them at all because they take too long(or are rude or take forever to email back) to service your device through their warranty services.
Sure, the absent communication lately is a little bit of a concern, but they must not know exactly how long a delay may take again, and then have to explain again how things got delayed.

Their pricing and upgrade system tops all other manufacturers. Great marketing, but still a great deal for the consumer. Airvape is a company that has to make money, after all to support their employees and their families.

To say that I'm not a little jelly having not yet received my AVLP2 would make me a liar so-Anyway, I am still waiting as patiently as I can to receive an email saying my unit is in the way so I can test the unit for myself.

I agree. If the glued on wrap is an issue just don't do it. I'd rather mod it myself with something I want. Ah well, for a hundred bucks I'm sure it will be well worth it. Hopefully better than my roffu. I'd like an upgrade to my dog walking vape.

I received my V2 and have a few first impression thoughts.

Cork bubbles aren’t visible yet, but I wonder if that will change with more exposure to heat.
I wish the mouthpiece was longer, but it does make the V1 mouthpiece seem like it’s too long.
Major robot farts smell out of the package.
The timer typeface is a little too small.

If you own the V1, I don’t think this is a MUST upgrade. But some nice quality of life improvements for sure. Us fanboys here will be happy with the upgrade though.

I use a Tempest V2 at home but this is my outdoor vape. Using caps, I set the temperature to 430°F and do a 60 second heat-soak and this thing really delivers.

My friend STILL does not have her vape after ordering at the same time as myself. I NEVER heard back from either Gary or the company after both of them wanted to see a video of my damaged unit. I am really sad that this happened.

So... I decided that I am bowing out of these attempts to contact them. On Instagram there seems to be a new looking version...it would be nice to receive this new one and I will send them back the junk that I have....because right now if you saw it...looks like its ten years old. Just awful.

Is it too late for a refund?

Got mine this morning. (Delayed delivery as we were away)

Inspected one. Seems solid, I like the inner magnetic screen, door feels much more solid than on my v1 (no problems with that tho). Like the mouthpiece cover though concerned I won't like the smaller mouthpiece as much but this is only speculation at this point. Mouthpiece is much more firmly attached though so that is an(other) improvement.

But...the cork cover is not well attached, it has wrinkles and is not well fixed at some points along the edge. Closer inspection later but not very pleased with it.

We have another one intended as a gift, I'm hoping one of the two will be good enough to gift but I only looked at one before leaving the house.

Also I bought another gift to be shipped directly and someone got one on my recommendation, both still to ship. I hope neither of these have the same issue.

(I was basically indifferent to the cloth, didn't love it but could live with it. Cork seems too tatty to live with. I like the idea of a natural cork veneer as a customisation but that ought to be a free choice not a fix)

I do appreciate the early price deals...but this time it truly sucks. I would rather pay full price and get a vape that I am happy with. We ordered this thing long ass time ago...some of us do not even have one, and when mine came it looks like crap. The worse part is the lack of communication. Done.

Totally disappointed.

I’ll try to send pictures of mine in a few hours on lunch break. It’s been sitting in a vape drawer since the first few days of receiving it. So those bubbles should look pronounced and not pressed down from use if that is a thing.

I’ll speculate that with the problems with the first wave units that are coming up, they’re likely paying more attention to quality control for future batches. I think it could be a smart move but the lack of communication is definitely not appreciated.
It’s interesting that they’re posting Legacy Pro V1’s in recent instagram posts. I had to look closely and see that it didn’t have the color display to confirm that they weren’t bringing the hemp fiber cloth back to the LP2. That AI generated pic was very strange but I doubt it’s a new unit.

My girlfriend really liked the LP2’s form factor and elegant look (when not paying attention to cork flaws) but she’s now preferring the Pax Flow for her herb consumption because of form factor and not having to hold the lid closed to get good performance, but man it was a crazy price when looking at the LP2 preorder.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
man it was a crazy price when looking at the LP2 preorder.
Maybe not… I am very skeptical when I see huge discounts (more than 20%)
preorder was discounted @more than 60% (100usd vs 260usd)
too good to be true, IMO
There was a seller on tv selling jewelry, Sergio Baracco, in Italy 1980s
he try to sell for 199.000 Italian lire something “worth” 4.000.000
again too good to be true

For sure. But this has been something AirVape has done since day one. Buy 2 for 1, crazy Black Friday and 420 discounts. The full price should never be spent with AirVape products. There a big discussion of this a few pages back in the thread.

But in my experience, when the devices come without issue, the Legacy Pro and Pro 2 punch above their weight class when you get these for around $130 sale price.

We saw that in Spain too(later than that)😅 Always at night so people were tired and/or drunk and ordered. I keep on laughing at those videos with my wife. Even with that, went for the too cheap pre-order 😂
