I used cool iso in an ultrasonic cleaner. Yeah, don't do that. :peace:

I soaked the three parts of the stem assembly (stem, bowl housing and bottom plate) in iso (in my ultrasonic cleaner) for about 10 minutes. Of the three parts, only the bowl housing was susceptible to the affects of the iso. The paint just wiped right off with your fingernail. The other two...

After taking it apart, I too think this is the most likely cause. It wasn't a problem until the single screw loosened up enough to swivel the bowl section. I managed to get it put back together with a single screw so that's the good news. The better news is that the company has already...
