MFLB, Pax, Nano, DBV.
I realize I may be the exception, but even when I was using the MFLB exclusively for the first year of vaping my usage didn't decrease from combustion.
I have heard all these stories of decreased use, but have not experienced it. I have been going through an ounce a month for over 20 years. That did not change when I switched to vaping about 2 years ago.
From what I have read here, reduced consumption is common. But it is not...
Do you have any silicone tubing? The 3/8" ID tubing I have will fit over the end of the stem, and into a female 14mm fitting.
It isn't as pretty, but it works...
Mine does it too.
I make that part of my cleaning routine for the LB. I clean the wood, cover, and brush out all the places particulate can hide. Then I put a newly charged battery in and do a burn off and brush around the screen again.
This forum rocks. Because of the above suggestions, I ended up getting some hi-temp silicone tubing and fashioned a bowl for the Nano.
I've been hitting the Nano for a couple hours, and it is absolutely killer. I cannot believe how much vapor this pulls out of such a small amount. It is smooth...
I assumed he meant he kept the temp on low, and turned the unit on and off when he wanted hits over the course of 3-4 hours.
That would probably be about right for battery life (not sure, I don't use low temp).
Fair enough. I was merely suggesting that he use that to get a better grip. As I said, there should be nothing holding it in place if it is in the up position. I have heard of some people who could not get the mouthpiece off with their fingernail, but just needed to get a better grip on it...
I'm not sure what to tell you if it is popping up. Never had it get stuck in that position.
Is it possible to get some pliers to get a better grip on the mouthpiece and pull (gently of course)?
If the mouthpiece is popped up, there should be nothing that holds it in place other than friction...
I've been trying to catch up on as much of this thread as possible while we wait for the EVOs to be completed. But I have one question that I haven't seen mentioned, and for obvious reasons is tough to search for.
I have never even seen a Cloud, so forgive me if it's a dumb question :)
Does...
That's what I thought, but thanks for the help.
Someone else asked me that above. I definitely wasn't using the wrong end. The stem I had was with a glass screen, so it was obvious to me which end to use. Also, neither end fit on my tube (I checked out of curiosity). The gong that broke was...
Is the clear stuff used for whips also ok to use, or does it have to be that more rigid cloudy colored stuff they show on that site?
I figured out how to do it earlier, but I didn't know if it is ok to put the softer stuff on the hot tube...
Thanks for the help.
Forgive my ignorance, but how do you use silicone with the Nano?
I thought it was glass stem only. I would love to be able to use this before my new stems arrive.
I hear you on the backups. I ordered 2 new stems, and as soon as I know they fit correctly I will probably order more just to be safe.
It's so sad to look at the Nano and not have any glass to use it with :ugh:
I'm not insulted, but I definitely wasn't using the wrong end. The stem was one with the built in glass screen so it was very obvious which was the 'bowl' end. The other piece was a gong. Again, very obvious which end is the bowl end.
This is EXACTLY how both of mine acted.
