One thing I noticed which I found interesting is that dotMod's other products have a limited lifetime warranty, while the dotLeaf has an only 90-day warranty: https://dotmod.com/pages/warranty-returns Can anyone remind me whether the dotLeaf can be charged with a USB-C to USB-C cable?

Please let us know what they end up saying. I've been able to find mentions of firmware updates for for the dotSquonk, but nothing for the dotAIO (the most similar other product of theirs). However, I would be a bit surprised if the dotLeaf didn't support firmware updates by the user, given that...

I don't think anyone is suggesting they need to do a full recall, but it's reasonable to replace cracked ovens for customers who'd like them replaced. It's not great to expect your early customers to bear the cost of your growing pains, insufficient QA, or soft product launch -- that should all...

When I contacted support about whether oven cracking would be covered by warranty, I was told: This seems somewhat unreasonable to me — surely if your product cracks under normal use, it should be replaced without cost to the user as it can’t possibly still have the same lifespan it would...

Here’s a link to their warranty: https://dotleafofficial.com/pages/warranty-returns The link they have on the website itself is messed up, but that appears to be the actual one. Only 90 days.

They confirmed to me on Instagram that the boost is only applied while the button is held down.

Yes, it can be. You can boost up to 245, with the 4 preset levels being 185, 200, 215, and 230.

This has happened to a few people I know. DotLeaf should replace it if you contact them; let us know how that goes, if you're willing.

The most notable difference is that the Premium is SS 304 and the Standard is aluminum.

Completed [H] Core E-Rig w/ Extras [W] Trades (wood ovens) or PayPal

For sale/trade I’ve got a lightly used Core. I'm looking to trade towards a wood oven, or $110 *or best offer* shipped. It would come with two unused quartz bucket coils, an unused triple-Ti coil, a lightly used Ti bucket coil, and a Sai quartz bucket coil, as well as the usual accessories plus...

I reached out to them about the heating element on Instagram, and they told me they believe it's SS but will confirm with Engineering. This was really helpful, thanks! The person I spoke to also mentioned that the metal which is visible in those photos is aluminum.
