So I pulled my top off and got the glass tube back in the correct configuration. Before I glue the top back on, does anyone have a good suggestion to adhere it so that I can pop it back off reasonably if needed? I was thinking of picking up some rubber adhesive tape or something instead of...
I got mine in the mail, today! My lid and glass tube are both loose, and the magnet -- as has been mentioned -- is of the off-center sort, but the build is otherwise nice and this thing is tiny. I'll just have to pick up some glue over the weekend and fix it up.
Thank you for the response, @Alan! That is good news about the solder. Definitely one of the things I appreciate about these high surface area coils is how it’s much easier to avoid glowing temperatures while still getting where you want to go.
On the topic of melting solder, I note that the...
Does anyone know the specifics on the solder used to hold the coil to its butt splices (I think it’s broadly “silver solder”)? As it’s in the air path (along with the butt splices, which are likely just copper coated in tin), I’m curious to know more — about heavy metals (RoHS compliance would...
I would be remiss if I didn’t post my LBE. This is absolutely my favorite vape of any I’ve used. It’s an incredibly straightforward and tasty little device, not to mention very attractive in the hand — for once my husband didn’t frown at my VAS ;)
It does appear that they're soldered to the posts to some degree, so I'd be interested in knowing the composition of those parts, if possible. This isn't meant to sound rude, by the way, it's just stuff I like to know in more detail -- I'm sure @Bravesst has done a fine job ensuring everything's...
Thanks for letting me know. I thought the two ends of the mesh heater were soldered rather than screwed to the metal posts which hold them, though on closer inspection I believe that I do see screws -- is that right, as far as you know?
I’ve got a Lil Bud Elite and I’m trying to figure out whether there’s solder in the air path, and if so, what kind of solder it is (I see that you use lead-free solder)?
Hehe, well, I meant compared to the incredible hand-checkered stem two posts before mine -- certainly no intent to trivialize the craft. But yeah, the yellow really POPS -- I use my Dynavap more often now just to get to look at it.
My KGWoodcrafts purchase is comparatively simple but I love it -- a beautiful mouthpiece to go along with my Nonavong stem, until I can get something more elaborate, of course :)
Oo, neat! Count me among those interested in the stash version. I like that this replaces the nail in your old model with the butt of the wooden hinge. How hot is the metal shroud after use? My ideal would be to have this as my on-the-go solution, in which case I'd want to stick it back in my...
Might be a dumb q, but is it possible to use the Imp[cognito] with concentrates, for example wrapped in ungummed hemp? Should probably just get a dedicated atty for that, but I gotta wonder.
Hahaha, I'll take that as a 'no'. I think a wariness of LiPo batteries as being a less-stable alternative to lithium-ion batteries has just been instilled in me.
