The black ovens were a temporary release, they’ve been replaced by the tan ovens. AFAIK there’s no actual difference between them.

Mine also says Monday, will let you folks know how it looks. I expect that ‘black’ cap was referring to one of the black-painted caps. I also ordered a back-up hot plate from Lotus on Thursday, but that hasn’t shipped yet. No rush since I expect I won’t need it soon :P

I placed my Lotus order right at the tail end of when orders were being accepted, it seems. I'm quite nervous -- I suppose today will be the moment of truth, we'll see if my order gets cancelled or anything. Crossing my fingers (and kicking myself for having hemmed and hawed over buying a Lotus...

What if that kind of adapter was used with a USB charging brick, the kind with overcharge protection? Would that be enough, or is there something particular about the car adapter which should be kept in mind? Edit: 'brick' above means wall wart / mains-powered USB charger.
