To everyone that has requested to get on the "list", I will reach out to you at some point, as I work through requests in order.
This is just a little side project for me, and the little I make per unit only makes it worth my while because I want to get these into the hands of other...
With a DNA mod would just be a matter of setting up a TCR value according to the recommended TCR value that comes with your cup, and then lock in your resistance at what it also says on the packaging with the cup (or there-arounds ... depending on the mod you might need to adjust a little ...
I think once you try this setup with the v3 zirc and v2 cup, there's just nothing like it; with the v1 I strongly disliked the clips, and thought they were a weak point, and could only recommend this unit to those that don't mind "fiddling", but my tune has changed on this now. Installation is...
I'm not sure if the mod is ready or not, but they are shipping the TC ESCC's now with no delay, and with Arctic Fox, I set the TCR value to what it said on the container for the cup, and set the resistance to what it said on the container as well, and it works perfectly; perfect temp control ...
The latest revision of the M22 ESCC is AMAZING! All of the issues that I had with the V1 have been resolved with 2 things:
1. The v3 Zirconia housing stopped all wobble of the cup when cleaning, even if you are fairly aggressive. This also stops all build-up of resin in the clips themselves...
I have to agree with @badbee that it is unlikely that the mAh values matter that much ... I'm not sure how it would actually read this either as I have no idea how it would (beyond estimation as @badbee mentioned)
I would tend to agree that charge/discharge should only be limited by cut-off...
You could do it with a simple open source bluetooth LE app as well that allows reading/writing characteristics (assuming it lets you write this characteristic)
Here's the UUID's you need to actually know what you are looking at...
I know many of my customers did with success.
sometimes you need to leave the battery out for a while (or maybe press and hold down the power button when the battery is out)
I’ve seen strange behaviour like charge level not matching actual battery levels when quickly swapping cells before when...
In the way it is used here I see no issues. It is acting as a heat sink, not a cooking surface that gets scratched where one would actually consume any aluminum.
aluminum oxidizes in air extremely quickly, making it highly unlikely that in this usage you would have any exposure to aluminum...
All 6 units from this batch are now 100% complete and ready to ship :)
I'll post some pictures later!
Thanks everyone for your patience on this round--I think the next batch will be smaller (2-3 units), to make the turn-around quicker :)
Hi everyone,
unfortunately due to rising costs of cells and shipping, and concerns around shipping of dangerous goods, I’ve decided to stop (at least for now) this service.
I have a few cells left that I may send out within Canada/US, and will look into dangerous good shipping options in the...
couple units with a finish applied (didn't get all 6 done last night)
Should get the rest done Tue-Thu next week and hopefully get all the electronics assembled and the units 100% complete.
