I had a similar thing happen with the DART. Twice. Watched a little piece slide down the drain and everything. I still haven't sent it back for repair either, heh. I'm definitely babying the new EO core and I'll be watching it like a hawk when I eventually end up boiling it out.
Man, I had the same thought but I don't have any handlebar grips around. I used a sleeve off of an air regulator from a paintball gun, and a grip from a baseball bat.
Edit because it's a bit absurd:
Honestly, I feel like the core is really the best thing about it. Yeah, ceramic does have...
I have a feeling the mini is going to be awesome and I thought about just waiting for that as well but now that I have a Cera, I have no regrets about getting in early. Hell, I'll probably just end up getting both. Absolute worst case, I resell whichever one I like the least.
As has been stated, that's normal. I would just recommend being extremely careful poking that piece of ceramic though. I imagine It wouldn't take much to crack or chip a piece off, and it's a pretty integral component.
Word of caution to anyone new to the Cera EO core. Loaded up a small dab of AK47, and she just about laid me out in one hit. I thought I was an old vet at this but she put the hurt on. I was impressed.
Yeah, I think smaller more frequent dabs is the way to go. I loaded like .5 right away and kind of regretted it after a while. There's a definite funk to the flavor if you let it cook for a long time.
Could you post a link or an image of this? I'm curious but I'm not sure what this grommet thing is, exactly.
I had an old paintball gun with an inline air regulator that came with a rubber sleeve around it. It's a bit stretched out but it fits over the base of the Cera pretty well. I'm also...
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the Cera a great deal already. I have yet to see how it stands the test of time but regardless of any flaws, it still makes fantastic vapor. At the end of the day, that's exactly what I bought it for. There's always room for improvement though.
I've only had mine a day but right away, the button placement and shape is awkward during use. The "pencil" style grip I've seen posted around here seems to work best but every time I use it, I'm trying to think of a better way because it's just not quite ideal. It's also pretty smoothly...
Just unboxed my EO Cera and took it for a little test drive. Loaded it up no problem with about .5g.
Warmed it for 8-10 sec. Dropped in about .2, warmed it up again until that starts to melt into the ceramic. Put in a little more. Warmed it again for a good 10 sec and watched a big fat bubble...
I know I've seen people here say to try putting a dime in with the battery, or stretch the spring out a little bit.
It sounds to me like you're just not getting a good electrical connection in there somewhere. Screwing the core down all the way probably just makes the contact with the battery...
Catching back up on the thread, this is well off topic now as I continue to wait impatiently for a shipping notice... Sagan's wife, Ann Druyan, was president of NORML, and has been on its board of directors for several years.
I think this is just the USPS tracking system. It's never really been all that accurate or reliable, in my experience. Knowing them, it'll get updated again after you receive the delivery.
I was kinda hoping the "Feb 14th" rumor going around meant mine would be on the way really soon. At least the confusion got cleared up but... fuck. I'm probably still a couple weeks out at least.
Oh well. Could be worse, right? At least they're not telling us there's a delay. Things have been...
VapeAttic, I hear you man. I've been waiting for what feels like way too long as well and its starting to make me think I should have spent that money somewhere else.
It is what it is though. I don't see anything wrong with giving them a call to find out what's up but they're obviously working...
Nice!

If he was saying two to three weeks for Jan Feb orders a few days ago, he was either being real conservative then or they're moving faster now. Or maybe a bit of both. Heh.
I still have a DART that I need to send in to get rebuilt. I'm debating if I should...
