I think you're right about that. But my real concern is I'm not sure exactly where the short was occurring or how it was being caused. I just want to be sure I'm not going to end up with the same problem reoccurring later if I can help it.'
Maybe I can get a good Black Friday deal on a new...
Had another minor issue today that I just wanted to see if I could get some expert insight on.
So my spring collapsed recently. I replaced it and tore down then rebuilt my 71 again to make sure everything was clean and ready to use. Things seemed ok for a minute but the button started flashing...
Still have to rebuild my Herc but I got the new spring today and confirmed my top is still good. I think my turkey day forecast just got a bit more cloudy.
Thanks guys. I had ordered a new spring the same day it failed and I just got the shipping notice today. I think the top is still good but we'll see how it goes. I still have to take the Herc apart to verify but I'm guessing the rod must have slipped down or something.
That would be sweet. I'm...
Well, I guess Persei decided I'm done. Had a perfectly working unit for a few months, put it down for a couple hours today and when I picked it back up, the light blinked at me a couple times, then the spring promptly smoked out and collapsed.
It was fun while it lasted.
I tested out that CO2 oil thing over the weekend. For some reason I just wasn't buying the notion that the SR71 could not vape it and I had to try for myself.
I started out with just a little drip but, sure enough. I got a little taste but most of it ended up in the reclaim chamber. Nothing...
I find 7.4v Kiss carts to be too harsh as well. That's where I started and I pretty quickly started wishing I had some kind of bubbler to filter through.
I went from there to SR71 at 3.7v. It's a lot less harsh and tastes great but is a little slow to warm up. I found the 7.4v rod to be pretty...
As someone who just got into UPTech about a month ago, my advice for newcomers would be to invest in a decent charger. The free charger is pretty bare bones. I screwed up one of my sets of batteries and while it came down to my own carelessness, it's much easier to keep an eye on things with...
I got a SR71 ten days ago and ran about a gram through it at 3.7v. I was actually really happy with it but I had the 7.4v rod just sitting around so I figured I might as well give it a shot since I never had before. I ended up tearing it down, cleaning it out and rebuilding it 4 times by the end...
Just hit the SR71 for the first time. I decided since I was going to break it down and re-assemble it anyway, I'd replace the rod and try 3.7v to start with. I figured it might be a bit more idiot-proof that way, which is probably more my speed, heh.
Flavor was amazing. I expected it to be...
SR74 vs. SR71. What's the difference.
I mean, aside from the availability.
I do like the KISS cart for a quick blast but I'd like to have something that doesn't require constant reloading all day. The EO cart isn't bad but I have a hard time knowing where the wax is at in there so I'm finding...
@darkrom I got into a Persei almost the same time as you (another TET refugee) but I went with current gen stuff and have been seeing nothing but success. Hopefully you can get the support you need.
I probably would have got some UP stuff sooner but I always got the impression that it was too...
Alright man, hook me up then, haha!
Been using the 7.4v Kiss cart mainly. It doesn't hold a huge amount but the hits are decent and it's basically instant vape on demand-- I'm used to at least some kind of warm up time but no need for that here.
Flavor is good on a brand new cart but I'm...
1st Impression:
It's much lighter than expected. Even with batteries in it's quite light. This isn't really a big deal to me but it's the first thing I noticed. I guess after holding a Cera for a couple years or whatever, everything seems kind of light in comparison.
Right away I had a problem...
I always kind of wondered about the ceramic wafers. I mean, when you first get them, they have very crisp edges but over a period of regular use mine would gradually become slightly deformed, more rounded, and generally just worn down. All those little pieces of material have to go somewhere.
