Should be an official club member soon as I just put my Persei order in over the weekend. Starting off with just Kiss and EO carts but more to come.
Just to clarify because I've seen some confusing/conflicting/incomplete info while researching-- SR74 can be effectively run at 3.7v? You just...
I'm looking to pick up a Persei but I'm not real sure which cart to go with. The KISS carts don't look like they'll hold more than a dab at a time and I'd much rather be able to just load .5g and nurse that for a while. SR-74 seems to be the best available but it's out of stock anyway. The...
Well, that blows. Would have been nice if someone would have said something sooner. I was all in on TET with two Ceras and a Luna thinking they'd take care of me for the long term. I've been meaning to get into some W9 stuff though, I guess this is my incentive.
One is an old one, the other is also old but was sent back to be rebuilt after I got my Luna. The third one I ordered with the Luna and, as expected, fits perfectly.
It's funny, I have 3 EO carts and they all work fine... mostly.
Two of them must be a hair too long or something. If I screw them all the way in, they push down on the switch so I can't turn it on. I have to screw them in, then back them off a little before the switch works.
It's kind of...
So if Nate and Noah were the ones who designed the previous devices and they're both gone, who's there to come up with new stuff going forward? That doesn't seem like easy talent to replace.
I'd read about the stock mouthpiece melting before so I never even tried it. I have one of their moisture conditioner tips which seems to work well enough. They shouldn't even sell it with just the delrin tip if it's melting like that, IMO.
I've taken an EO core apart myself a couple times and...
I wasn't nearly as blown away by Luna as I was when I first got the Cera but I'm still happy. I really wanted a non-ceramic body and a thumb switch and I got both. I already knew the core was awesome.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some "shifting" going on during shipping that's causing...
Just unboxed mine and I'm pretty dang happy so far. Much lighter and feels more natural to use with the thumb switch. Haven't quite settled on a tip to use though. The UFO is as good as always but looks pretty goofy.
Overall, I give it a thumbs up
Just got my shipping notice from TET saying my Luna is on the way. Just in time for a fresh batch of pure gold, and I was already taking PTO on Friday for my birthday too. This is shaping up to be a really nice weekend.
I feel you guys who are still waiting on their Luna orders to be filled. I've had a hell of a time trying to get one too. I put an order in last month for a Luna body and a core refit. FedEx lost the core I sent back. I ended up just changing my order to include a new core to replace the one...
So what's the consensus so far? I'm not sure how widespread issues are with the new switches or if TET is planning any adjustments to the process. Is it a good time to grab a Luna or would giving it a couple months for any remaining kinks to be worked out would be wiser at this point?
I'm curious if TET is still on track to ship Lunas this week. I'm pretty close to just buying one but I'd love to see some testimonials on it. Plus I already have two Ceras and I'm not sure I really need another EO cart. I'd love to be able to just get the Luna body without the extra cart.
I had what I thought was a similar issue with an EO core recently. Initially I just thought that the heating element was getting too gunked up but it still took a long time to heat after a long ISO soak and boil. It would get warm enough after a while to make some wispy puffs but that's about...
I've been considering doing this as well. I iso-soak and boil my cores normally but they still seem like performance is gradually becoming degraded all around. Problem is, if there's gunk built up in the donut hole, I'm probably not going to be able to get to it and that's just going to annoy...
Actually, the info on weight difference illustrated things pretty well for me. And advice on keeping things moderately topped off so as to not overcook the bottom was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I get what you meant when you said you expect to lose some with every cleaning now...
First impression the moisture conditioner: Works fine as a normal extended drip tip but there's no noticeable "moisture conditioning" going on. I wasn't really expecting much but, just as others have said, it doesn't hold enough water to really be effective in proportion to the amount of vapor...
I see where you're coming from but it's not necessarily a "schedule" or a strict regimen that I'm after, necessarily, just trying to build some better knowledge. What does "keeping an eye on things" mean to you? What are some key indicators that make you think it's time to clean? I've been using...
I was kind of under a similar impression though now I can see how incorrect that was and, in hindsight, it seems obvious that some form of buildup is going to occur to the point where performance will eventually be impacted.
I'm still not quite clear on what the answer is though. It seems like...
