It kind of seems like the illuminated version would mitigate the risk to some extent. I can see people putting it down while it's on with a normal switch but one with a big glowing red ring on it is a little more difficult to ignore. Apem does custom switches but I'm not sure what a minimum...

I love seeing all these "I got mine!" posts. I'm still waiting on mine, so I get all anxious. And jealous. Oh well. Still got my trusty ol' T1!

For what its worth, I finally ordered one over the weekend and the confirmation email they sent me said it could take up to 5 weeks to ship. It seems like they're getting a bit faster with filling orders recently but there must still be a backlog that they are trying to catch up on.
