Solid copy!
How big did your set the flame, and using the bright inner blue tip as reference, what distance from the Thermal Battery do you have it at?
Yup...disgusting, lungs and mouth felt "dirty"afterwards.
For the record I was a 1/2 pack to full pack a day smoker but quit cold turkey in 2009... Could be why combustion really gets to me.
It's a great torch, love the kickstand on it too; can't help but think I did something fucky though...
I have two other torches to test out, an Honest pencil torch - Here
And a twin jet pencil - Here
Welp... Completely screwed something up last night, first run with the PT4000 and combusted.
Ugh.
Took it completely apart and iso soaked it... Then grabbed my TM and finished off the night while sulking...!
I received my PT4000 today, will try it out tonight to see if I can't dial in repeatable results.
Last night I used an off brand double jet Zippo butane insert (Z-plus! extreme) in a Thyrm Pyrovault (because reasons), cranked it and put it on the thermal battery (inner light blue flames...

Absolutely!
My TM has been my DD for a very long time now...it replaced my DaVinci IQ2...which replaced my Zeus ARC GT...which replaced my POTV One...which replaced my Utilian 722.
I don't see anything replacing my Anvil any time soon.
My Anvil arrived on Friday and I've been using it consistently since.
The learning curve is minimal, using a Thunderbird twin jet insert for my Zippo I aim for 1/4" away from the inner blue jet to the Anvil itself and that takes about 40 seconds to click.
Typically extracting in one major pull...
