Yeah I would say upgrade the inverter. Although Andy has said a 50w rated one will work, he recommends a 100w one really. That's what mines rated at and only gets very slightly warm. I'd worry about a "very very" hot inverter so think about changing it pls.

I usually just cut my silicone sleeve in half for exactly the same reason. It's still wide enough to grab with a finger and thumb, and I can see the load this way. When I tried folding, it seemed to want to flip back into place all the time so just cut it :tup:
