    Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

To clear things up about why my shipping took so long; The AC Adapter is [understandably since it is a new product] a very hot item so that is what delayed my order until today, when it was shipped. So if you didn't order the AC Adapter, yours should have shipped very quickly like the others...

Porquiplane, Ordered on the 7th or 8th, on the 9th FedEx received info, was told it might ship last Saturday, but it is the next Saturday and no updated info on FedEx to show they have received it for delivery. So, they must still be very busy.

Just a heads up, it may take longer than that. I ordered July 9th, and it still has not been shipped. The shipping label was made, but FedEx has not received the package yet. There were a lot of July 4th sale orders, so they are still filling them. I could be wrong about your order...

    Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

Still no update from FedEx. The only activity reported is, "Shipment information sent to FedEx." No pickup, nothing. Is the package sitting somewhere unshipped? Or what has happened? I sent an email to sales but got no response yet. Just wondering if I should worry or if it is common for...

    Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

Is it usual with FedEx ground to only show the shipping information but not showing it being picked up and delivered (until maybe much later?). Shipped Monday but all it shows is that it received the shipping info, and its Wednesday. I'm wondering if I should just sit tight and it'll show up...

Ced, with a lot of vapes people tend to add tubing or some other kind of attachment to make the vapor cooler when it hits the mouth. If you've got some tubing or something equivalent lying around you can make use of that.

While my PD did not have the buckling of the shell like you do here, after several years of use it cracked in the middle and snapped apart cleanly. Good thing these resistors are very cheap...

    Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

The reason I asked about the batteries is because it is always something that eventually has to be replaced. I like to plan out my purchases before I make them, I keep feeling unsatisfied when it comes to the battery question, and that is why I do not make the final decision to purchase. I...

There are customers who want the Apple approach [got a problem? let Apple take care of it] and there are customers who like to own and tinker with what they purchase [pc users in that mac vs pc debate]. I'm looking for that pc user type of portable. I'll keep searching around...

    Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

I'm looking through portable threads and I am leaving them disappointed. I JUST WANT A PORTABLE THAT I OWN Not something I'm forced to send in, dealing with shipping costs and headaches, waiting weeks. I want to be able to open it up, fix it, and get it going. I am naturally good at this...

    The HI

My old Jameco powersupply with the PD did get up into the 14v range and made it run hot (probably around 400f) and then it finally failed [either that or I shorted it out as my PD rattled around]. You must have been joking about it glowing, right? ;) Yeah, more heat would probably shorten...

    PUFFiT portable

I LOVE that this looks like an Asthma inhaler. This brings up my first problem with it-- the clear plastic slip on the mouthpiece that allows you to see that there is a usb port on it. I would prefer that it was opaque so that it doesn't give away that this is an electronic device. Something...

As the book Fahrenheit 451 indicates, that is the temperature at which books burn (232 Celsius). Log vapes tend to be at about 385 degrees F, so it is not hot enough to set anything on fire. I have yet to hear of a single incident of fire resulting from a log vape.

Even if there is sheathing, the heat in this entire zone could make the plastic insulation inside that sheathing deteriorate and leak a noxious smell. I've had that same problem with my vaporizer [not DaVinci]-- I was trying to insulate an area to prevent short circuiting if it rattled around...

Tor, My older log vape takes 45 minutes to build up a core of heat to operate efficiently. When I considered using a battery pack for it, it meant you pretty much wanted to charge it up for 45 minutes and keep it on continuously until the battery ran out. Not very conductive if you wanted to...

ThCombustion, Did you ever order screens from Pam and Tommy and get the wooden dowel with the purchase? If not, get one from a hardware store. If it is too slightly big to fit, you can squeeze the tip with a tool all around the circumference to make it smaller and fit [had to do this with...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

When I contacted Pam about this in the last couple of years, she said that the rings are more like training wheels and that it works better without the rings. Without the rings the screen is more likely to flip if you poke in there, but it sure has worked very well for me in that the vastly...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Interesting... since mine was broken in half too when I found it. I wonder if after several years of use the heat finally makes it brittle enough to crack and break, especially if the unit rattles around as well? Future log vape manufacturers should keep in mind to make the resistor as easy...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

You can see a single snap ring on your PD, so adding more snap rings would give the tight fit needed to make the unit stay in place and not rattle at all. I thought this was a great and hassle-free idea when lwien posted it. I still only have my one snap ring so I can't make a video myself...

I tried that years ago at the start of my vaping experience. Never again. It doesn't magically turn tar into honey, and it does foul up the smell of whatever vaping piece is in contact with the stream. Not worth it at all.
