    You remove the pointy tips that come with the iron and put on the tips that @Joel W. supplied so they fit more snug...at least that's the way it was with mine.

    @ictus put your parchment in a pouch so to speak. Take the parchment, fold in half, place nug (like normal)...then take a second piece of parchment, fold in half, place first folded parchment with nug into the second "sleeve".     Vise is holding up quite well with no signs that it is getting weak at all. JB weld from cuni to wood to jaws also looks really good :)
