Patience and time...take detailed notes so you can continually improve until you get the results you want consistently.

Extra pipe will help on leverage. For leakage, you may have had a blowout...I take a double folded piece of parchment, so twice what I would use for the nug parchment and that inside, in effect encasing the nug with parchment with the doubled up one if that makes sense.
