    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I don't own a Volcano; I use an Extreme-Q for bags. But AFAIK the vapor produced is essentially the same. Comparing a bag machine vs a passive draw is somewhat apples-oranges because obviously each has an entirely different delivery system. So you may prefer the bag for social passing around or...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Yr'welcome. It worked reasonably well. Not like the Cloud, of course. I'm using this setup for social for the obvious safety reasons. I've needed to play around with what is the best load and temp, haven't used it enough this way to get that quite nailed down yet. Let us know what you find! I...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

I've used my Q with my HT in a couple of ways. So far what's worked best is the cyclone plus an 18/male-18/male adapter, putting the ELB inverted into the adapter which places it closer to the heater than the Q's elbow. It looks like the following, except in this post I used the Q elbow rather...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

The glass "washers" are orifices at opposite ends of the center glass section, which is joined to the bottom section air intake and the top section joint. That is the term that VXL uses.

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

There are 2 orifices, not just 1; they form the center section heat chamber. A liquid poured in will probably leave behind moisture in this section when emptied. Adds emphasis to the importance of thoroughly draining and drying the unit before reuse. Also, IMO it's also very important to avoid...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

I agree, but the distinction is important.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Yep, but only the ELB. The heat source is totally isolated, with the air not coming into contact at all.

    Thx Stu and dannkk . . .

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Indeed. Other than the Cloud, and maybe the (apparently defunct) Oracle?, do you happen to know what other vapes have a genuinely all glass path?

Thx for the follow-up SliM. I agree completely.

Sure, glad that the info was useful.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Silicone tubing, probably yes. Stock pvc, might not. The ID of the silicone tubing some of us here use, is 5/16", the same as the stock pvc. But as you observe, the silicone has good elasticity. IIRC the SSV tubing is 3/8" (I presume the DBV is the same). A piece intended to fit into 3/8"...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Maybe that's another "myth", like the Q being "4.0". Use it often enough, becomes presumably correct.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

It sounds like this is the piece which sparked discussion and debate a couple of times over the past month or so, you might find that useful. Arizer's position is that the piece is mica, and no risk. IME in electronics eng & mfg, I worked with mica and mica composites which are quite common and...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

As one who is getting old and is somewhat broken, not surprising that "sucking hard" regularly might give you headaches. Especially if those hits are a strain, e.g., you could be constricting blood vessels which can cause headaches. Have you tried long slow deep but relaxed pulls?

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Fwiw . . . I've used the ELB (I have a Cloud) with my Q. Whip and with the HydraTube, plus a bit of experimenting with the bag. The design intent with the Q's elbow screen (besides being a screen) is to create slight back-pressure into the bowl, enough to cause the "cyclone effect". Similarly...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Has anyone else noticed how long this thread has gotten? Taken with its predecessor, >400 pages. That's more than any other vape on FC except for the MFLB. SM, you are most definitely in the groove!

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Have you closely double-checked how you are filling/emptying the tube? For water to go down the joint it must go above the air intake at the center of the bottom section. When filling, an air pocket can sometimes form in the bottom causing water to be held in the top section; the water will...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

A friend just received Tokeez bags with his purchase of a new Q. It's 3 ft long. About the same width and 2x length of the Arizer bag. I've used Reynolds turkey bags, IIRC they come in large and xtra-large and I haven't used the xtra's. I suspect though that the xtra-large are approx the same...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

All the circuitry is in the bottom housing. The tube is sealed inside the heater/insulator jacket, it is fabricated into one assembly which fills the upper housing. To replace the tube requires rebuilding the entire assembly and re-wiring it into the board below. It could be done in a shop, but...
