    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Side note: In one report I read, the authors indicated a +/-50F in the measurements. Interestingly, that's almost precisely the diff between 230C and 260C. Factoring in variabilities in material, oxygen intake, changes in temp thru the air flow, and imprecision in vape measurements, it's to be...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Happy to oblige. Glad it worked out for you. :) Also, the whip will deliver a bit more potency than the bag because vapor condenses in the bag and actives are held on the bag's surface. You see that accumulate in the bag over multiple uses. There is also condensation in the whip, but the...

You're right, that was discussed in the first thread. I think VXL achieved this by finding a way to lower the pressure in the ELB which results in maintaining temp constancy, avoiding the drop off in temp through the bowl typical of other vapes.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

A couple tips: After turning on the fan with the remote, watch the mouthpiece for the vapor to exit before putting in your mouth; otherwise you'll get all the air that was in the whip that is now being pushed out ahead of the incoming vapor. After you've inhaled, toggle the fan off and cap the...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

It appears there is limited real data, I presume due to the dearth of controlled studies. The thread here which lists boiling temps omits the flash points as difficult to ascertain; the author attributes that to variations in strains but he does state that combustion begins about 260C/500F, not...

    Discontinued The Oracle Infrared Vaporizer

Diapered??? When a company closes down in responsible (and legal) fashion, it may be done thru bankruptcy or a form of mediation or other negotiating framework. Only if the company has not been operating for quite a while, will there not be financial and other obligations outstanding...

    Discontinued The Oracle Infrared Vaporizer

I don't want to be the proverbial wet blanket, but there are many reasons a start-up goes out of business none of which have to do with the merits of the product. It's one thing for the limited staff to be backed up and so a bit slower to respond. It's quite another when retailers aren't...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Fair point. From all I've read, the range can be considerable given the moisture in the herb and other variables. 205C/400F is often cited, but typical flame is =>260C and in posts here I recall peeps saying they had combusted with the Q but only at ~260C. Many vape at 230C, and no...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Only about half way. What does work though is to put the bottom of the ELB into the glass elbow about 1/3 and then put it into the Cyclone. The top of the ELB will fit snug to the glass ridge where the screen otherwise sits. Have no idea how this would perform. That inverse method shown by...

vape4life, re the max temp, I'd say at least above 230C and maybe closer to 260C. SM has commented that he has gotten combustion, although that was only with throttling the airflow - that wouldn't happen unless the temp was already quite high. I hear you about the water in the HT; great that...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Without heating/loading the Cyclone, try just putting your lips to the top of the Cyclone like it was a mouthpiece and taking a draw. There is virtually no resistance. Now attach the whip and draw; you'll feel the drag. It's due to the constriction of the airflow through the narrower tubing. The...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

@JJd2sc, Assuming it's not the herb and that you haven't changed how you're packing the elbow, try raising the temp to ~230 or even more; does that have any effect? And re leaving the unit on all day (but not presumably not loaded), IIRC others have posted that they do the same. Personally I...

You have the SGW. The HydraCirc doesn't have ice pinches, the circ is wider, and IIRC the glass is heavier.

Pretty much the same here. In the evening I usually have several mini-sessions of a few hits each. I off/on the Cloud a couple times to keep it completely ready, and it does seem that the shield builds up to the point of being pretty hot at the top. I just hold it at the bottom. So no...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Use the vape upside down, e.g., connecting the Q's male joint to a GonG female joint on a water piece. IIRC Seek has posted pics of his setup in this thread.

It seems that there is additional drag when the ELB gets clogged, particularly if it's filled to 3/4. The dryness of the herb and the grind are also factors, of course. It's true that it lengthwise fits against the glass joint so there appears to be little if any airflow along the sides. This...

I agree that the linear dial would be better, and that's essentially how I've viewed the hash marks that are on the unit now. With the wide range of temp preferences, plus other variables such as the material or how a user does his/her session (e.g., ramping up the temp), IMO not only will be...

    Discontinued The Oracle Infrared Vaporizer

Sure. Anyone would be royally pissed off. My previous daily driver, and still backup, is the Extreme Q. It has terrific flexibility, is rock solid, and the price is quite good for all it delivers.

Understood. And we could probably use some clarification from SM re the min/max and zones.
