Have you tried a dry run heating it around the middle of the cap? If it doesn't make a pair of clicks on heat up then you have a defective cap.

The 316L M tip has more mass than the Ti tips, this means that the tip isn't quite heated up enough when it clicks. I would recommend heating at the bottom of the cap for the first heat.

What's in your vape right now?

It really smells good! I almost want to smell the fresh ground nug more than I want to vape it. There's a light mango smell in the back ground, with strong notes of lemon, orange and pine. Quite fruity but also earthy at the same time. The effects onset quite fast, mostly cerebral then settling...

What's in your vape right now?

I recently got some Candy Kush. What a smelly strain! I love the woody/lemon smell from OG Kush so this strain is doing great by me.

These older pieces have new life now. I was able to drill them out and reline them with SS. I also took the time to slim them down as the original shape was quite chunky.

The problem with a wooden sherlock/ J-hook is the curves. It requires a split construction that is time consuming to make.

You guys are giving me VAS! I need one of those Black leaf J-hooks!

I was just thinking of that. A J-hook would be perfect if paired with a stubby vong.

I find that the Ti tip is a solid performer with anything you can throw at it. But as far as a best strain for a vapcap? I would suggest something that comes on strong at lower temperatures. The reason for this is that the Vapcap starts at the highest temperature then descends from there. This...

Hey guys I have two new boxes up in my store. I've been working on getting a consistent glue up on them and it has paid off. https://www.etsy.com/listing/544828153/cherry-boxvalet https://www.etsy.com/listing/531022820/maple-valet

I've noticed quite the variance in vapcap tip size which makes it hard to find an inner diameter that works with everything. My Gen 2 is by far the tightest fit, Gen 4 is loose, and the M falls somewhere in between. This isn't a problem until one tries to swap a tip from body to body and the...

That stem always makes me stare for a minute or two! It's nice to see one's work in others hands being enjoyed.

They are all VonGs :) I've thought about trying to make a vapcap pipe but the ergo of heating a pipe vapcap style is really awkward. Perhaps if paired with a @Pipes heater it wouldn't be an issue? It would have to be two piece construction. Hmmm, You've got me thinking about doing one again.

I had two failed pieces on the lathe today but this one made from figured maple turned out great!

Hey guys I have some more pieces up in my shop now. I'll be moving on to making more Valets tomorrow. I ran into quite a few set backs this week as many of the blanks that I made using black wood cracked and split. I'm likely going to stay away from it as it is consuming too much time when it...

I'm still cooking up ideas for stands, trays and holders but simply haven't been able to turn them into physical realizations due to things getting in the way. After I've replenished my store with stems I'll be on to making them.

The term "anodizing" implies that there's an electrical current being used to change the colour, which isn't quite right. What you're all seeing is thin film interference caused by oxides forming on the surface of the metal because of Heat. Metals and other compounds gain an affinity for oxygen...

Hey guys, I've got some new pieces up in my shop with more on the way soon. I'm blown away by this maple box when it's in sunlight. It almost seems unreal that you're starting at a perfectly flat surface.

I've had the thought that the M could use a different cap due to its higher density SS tip that takes longer to heat than the Ti tips. The current cap has the effect of clicking before it's truly hot and results in many users being disappointed with their M on the first hit.

Great update! I feel sorry for Matt though. If someone did that to one of my fountains pen I might spontaneously combust!
