VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I'm actually in Canada. I've been tempted to order a system from Pipes and see what I can do. Perhaps it is time to do so?

All I can do is look at this piece while I wait for my Omni XL to arrive. I stuck my regular omni in the body to get an idea of what it will look like. This blank had a large crack happen in the bottom section of black wood and isn't acceptable for sale unfortunately. Bronze, Burl, and...

I have to agree, the thread has gotten to the point where it's the same questions being asked by new users. While I love that Dynavap is growing this issue of repeat questions is only going to get worse. Most of their questions can be answered by: A) reading the last 50 pages of the thread B)...

I wouldn't expect the price to go down as wood prices are always on the rise. What sort of discount % were you hoping for? You also might want to double check things because the XL is $55 and is currently going for $44 from what I can see. That's 20% off.

I ordered an Omni XL condenser today  I already have a stem in the works for it made from a blank I've been saving for a long time.

Good news! I had a bunch of O-rings arrive and will be sending out 3 new ones with every Stem or Body.

I don't know if I shared, but I got my brother hooked on Vapcaps. I gave him an M and a slim SS core stem with a 4th gen Ti tip since he goes camping so much. He noticed the difference between the Ti and the M right away. "The titanium tip is the bomb. It toasts the load in one go every time."...

After a few weeks off of the Lathe I made this 18mm VonG stem this morning. It'll be on its way to Finland soon.

    Winegums' Woodcraft

I'm hoping to get back on the lathe this week and create some new pieces. I've had a bunch of business to deal with outside of my wood working, but that is all past now and I can focus on making. The long two part prototype piece failed so I have to go back to the drawing board with my design.

If depth isn't a concern you can use a rod magnet that is 3/8" or 10mm diameter rather than a disk and the Vapcap will stick in the middle. I have a 3/8" x 3/8" magnet that I use and it is plenty strong enough to remove the cap and then some.=>...

Edit: I saw that you're talking about the body and not the tip. My mistake. Teflon would be fine as a body material, if anything O-rings would last much longer and it would be easier to clean. Edit: It might be fun to order some teflon and turn a few bodies/stems. The max operating...

Edit: I thought this was talking about the tip not the body my bad! I wouldn't want to use a teflon Vapcap tbh. I'm okay with a bit of teflon tape around my o-rings but applying flame to teflon tip doesn't sound like a good idea. Teflon will melt. SiC would be far more interesting and a better...

The Air hole is to allow you to vary the amount of air that is mixed with your vapour. The Vapcap can produce some very thick vapour and diluting it can go a long way as far as reducing harshness. The Omni condenser takes it one step further and lets you adjust the amount of air, eliminating the...

Does it bother you when people refer to Vaporizing as Smoking?

My mom still doesn't get it and always asks if I'm "smoking" and I have to correct her. The term smoking is wrong and I don't want to be associated with it.

The water is acting as a piston in the bottle, drawing in air as you lift. The vapour doesn't pass through the water so it won't be cooled that way. What it will do is diffuse the vapour (thus cooling it) and let you take a big hit all at once. Another diy smoking/vapour tool that is a brother...

I think the difference is the length of your session and how much time you had vapour in your lungs. 3-4 big hits makes for a much shorter length of time that vapour is in your lungs and overall you're going to be exhaling a lot of it. When you take 20 small hits you're greatly improving your...
