Here's what I've been up to lately. I'm hoping to have them finished in the following days. The woods are Maple, Cherry and Oak. This one is going up in my store tonight.

I find that having some resin in the vapour path sorta stops/traps the smoke smells when I combust. During cleaning the resin is black on top but golden under that layer, which is probably why the smell is so easy to get rid of.

I've already been brainstorming some ideas for VC specific stands with a magnet, rods for standing things on, and a little bit of storage for tools. I'll also make stands for the valets. :D Woodporn is the goal. What about making it slightly deeper and having a lid with a magnet and grooves...

Thanks! Yeah, it's just simple cotton thread, I had some spare stuff hanging around for the longest time. I made this whole piece with a pocket knife and I encourage others to make their own. Just pay really close attention to getting the right diameter piece.

I love my bamboo stem that I made a month or two ago. The trick is finding that perfect diameter piece so that the tip fits. I wrapped mine because it was starting to split. The flavour from one of these is excellent, something about the bamboo makes it so much tastier.

Good ideas! I really want to make a carry case/stash for vapcaps and I've also considered making some leather slips to protect the over sized wood pieces in someone's pocket without being too thick. I think I'll prototype some stashes, stands, trays and boxes today. It'll be mentally...

Thanks :D it was a last minute thing to add the dye. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it before. I do know that the knots with very dense wood don't take dye and that the dye uptake varies depending on the wood grain orientation. If end grain is exposed it will dye darker, while the face...
