doesn't get as hot as my xmax v3pro, which according to reports doesn't get as hot as roffu. despite not being a fan of those materials on a vape, i have to admit the pleather and canvas do a very good insulating job, thermal management is very well executed on ALP.

    Vaponic Herbal Vaporizer

i believe the BAK ID is 11mm and vaponic's outer heater OD is 12mm unfortunately. google "glass add-a-cap". it's sold by many retailers but i think it's manufactured by VapingFans (booo) like most other aftermarket adapters and such.

what? since when? any data to back this claim up? it wouldn't even be exposed to vaping temps but much lower in the glass tube. unless you mean actually inhaling the wire in which case i don't think material matters much. the brass in question is: CDA #230 alloy; 85% copper, 15% zinc...

    Dynavap VapCap

it's reasonably flexible being made of thin titanium. it's possible to unclasp the outer retention tab and expand it i guess but i wouldn't recommend it to avoid damage. pretty easy to compress a little by holding it by the center tab with tweezers and just twisting it tighter.

it means the steampunk pro launch. hold on to your capsules for now, despite ample feedback it's not a priority, just look at the pretty colors.

probably same as the regular black ALP. just different paint colors and a sticker on the lid inside, gotta make that surface useful somehow.

    AirVape Legacy Pro

yes, but using it on a waterpipe is pretty much shot ded. i think 60s motion timer is too short for session mode, 2m would be perfect, hmmm i wonder if any other (successful) vape manufacturer reached the same conclusion. @OyVape had a scrap wedding band. straightened/hammered (annealed2x)...

just made a DIY 14k gold twisted tape turbulator for my ALP, can't wait to try it out a bit later <3 edit: screw it i'm trying it now lol wow, cools really well, max temp hits are so easy now without going through a water piece, love it.

    AirVape Legacy Pro

yeah but that's clearly a misprint, if you take into account the next (last) sentence saying you can extend it to 3, 5, 10m (it's talking about the session timer, not the shutoff timer on page 2) and the other safety shutoff timer mention of 60s from the "tips and tricks" page in the online...

    AirVape Legacy Pro

yes but i'm saying why does it have to be so large (and consequently heavy and unstable) if only the small segment covering the bowl is actually useful. why not have a small metal cover for the oven, and a larger plastic one for the battery/airpath section, with a single hinge between them...

    AirVape Legacy Pro

spot on! imagine this tech inside a lighter wood enclosure, with actually fully removable glass path and more logical/simple oven interaction .... would be no1 portable IMO. ALP heating tech is top notch but the whole design could be simplified and improved if the oven access was also the fully...

    AirVape Legacy Pro

:myday: ackchyually it's 1m according to reports here and the manual from https://airvapeusa.com/pages/legacy-pro-user-manual just tested it's 1m. 60s. the end.

@kapows and @greenpager people already explained multiple times why. and not everyone is a 20yo with perfect vision and fine motor control. edit: it's a tiny slippery thing, with too fine threading. that's why other successful vape manufacturers adopted the more convenient, reliable and lower...

    AirVape Legacy Pro

could this be better solved with a microdosing disk tweak/redesign? perhaps something similar to what @Unklmark68 did with the mesh. however, i think capsules are useful regardless of fixing mess, so much easier for reloading out and about. so i guess both deserve better. the ALP does so many...

    AirVape Legacy Pro

like i said, IMO the top volume occupied by the disk can't be used for cooking, because it's out of the bowl, and wouldn't get proper temps. the material is way too soft for mesh. and i have yet to see even durable gold plated steel mesh, much less nichrome or whatever alloy is used here. i'm...

    AirVape Legacy Pro

here's my thoughts regarding caps. on threads vs snap on i think i'd prefer snap on but a quarter or half turn thread would be fine too. on the issue of mesh vs current caps design, IMO the factors to consider are airflow vs durability and thermal properties. mesh has the advantage of...

the olive wood smells amazing! havent noticed any taste in the vapor tho. my steel and coated AFC mp's are a bit heavy and not the best QC. it's useful if you want to adjust airflow. i'd pick the TI version, you can easily make it gold by heat treating or anodizing.

seems to me the raised wall is restricting airflow considering it closes the gap around the microdosing disk. possibly impairing the side orifices in the disk as well.
