i imagine that if it sits perfectly and was designed with the disk there, removing it would create an empty space between the capsule top and stud, and possibly introduce vertical play as one draws air through it.

i do sessions at 180C, then bump to max for the last draw when it stops producing vapor at the intial temp. but i mostly have it ondemand, max temp, basically using it like an unregulated vape (milaana style), letting go of the button as soon as i feel taste.

i'm not sure the chamber inside there is like a straight tube with the other opening toward the glass. there seems to be a bit of zigzag inside there, so IMO you should try pushing it out same direction it went in. perhaps something like a fishing hook might work to pull/grab rather than push.
