The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

When the VI is back at the starting position and it clicks back it’s still not at room temperature and probably hot to the touch. The indicator starts moving around 100C / 200F I’d recommend cutting the adapter’s silicone 2 lines shorter and keep an eye on the VI while heating with the Wand if...

Anywhere between the marked range is good, I'm in the middle which is where it's about level with the red silicone on the bottom.

That’s the plan and it will click back sooner as well. If the bottom of the glass cup is level with the red silicone the induction layer is right in the middle of the coil. If you push it further down it will be more conduction as it’s heating closer to the bowl. It can work well but overall...

There should be around 85pcs or 4.4g in the latest batch, level with the bottom of the ball screen threading.

Most customers didn't use the filter and it's not needed with the Tempest head. The MP got a bearing because it was slightly scraping the Ti on the top of the CU as it was spinning. Got rid of the DRC because customers were closing it accidentally (mostly without knowing that the feature was...

If you concentrate the heat to the same position it will be the same. Heating time also matters because there’s some lag. For example if you time out on the wand there is not much delay that way as it’s very slowly heating near the end. With a torch which will heat it quicker you’ll have to...

You probably want to push the glass cup a bit further down, make it level with the red silicone. Might want to increase the temp a bit as well. If the VI is moving too quickly is because the heat / coil is focused too low, near the indicator.

Yeah that's moving a bit too easily. Did you remove that o-ring? Make sure not to roll it too much when putting it on as that can also alter the size a bit. Please leave a note with your final parts order and I'll send a new o-ring. If you try to pull it off the magnet by holding the heat...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

It should stay in place and be very tight normally, did you take off the o-ring and maybe put a smaller one in place? Make sure that's it's pushed onto the o-ring as far as it can go, you might need to lube the o-ring slightly, when it's completely dry it can be hard to push on. It should align...

It will be a lot better and stay firmly in place. Those types of screens let gunk through. Proper size mesh screens won't, they're cheaper and the airflow is better. Yours was probably overtightened as well (by me) and it loosened over time because of that. Sorry! Please flatten the screen and...

You could try to print This version, but it’s still unfinished. I’ll probably make a .pdf version that’s easy to print, it won’t fit on the box as originally planned.

Just finished the count again and it's 15 for me, battery voltage is 3.38V at the end of the test.

Obviously if there is no good alternative available the IH would be a priority without question. :) The Tempest is not even released so it’s hard to say how popular it will be which is what I have to base this decision on. I already spent a significant amount of money and time on it so it...

Sorry for the late reply, it def won’t happen in the next 6 months, best case is end of next year if it’s happening. The problem with the Sense IH is that the wand works too well. If I go ahead with the my version it could easily cost twice as much without too many extra functions apart from...

Thanks!:tup: Try to push the heat shield onto the o-ring as far as it goes so it doesn't wiggle around. You might want to slightly lube the o-ring on the inner finned sleeve if it won't go on easily otherwise.

I'd say it's about 80-90% coming through the hot vapour. Yes, that's right. yes You should've vaped it off from the balls :D If you use the glass cup & wand upside down then it works, otherwise it's too deep for the DV. No and I'm working on a new one that has a debowler and screwdriver...

It could be 2 things which will be fixed with the final parts. Either the click disc is getting stuck under the pointer or the VI spring fell down and got stuck. If you can screw it apart and send a picture of the coil (you don’t have to take it out) I’d be able to tell and there’s a fix for it.

If you're happy with the roast then this is the next main thing. More moist / sticky material can produce double the amount of vapour compared to dry.

If you take off the indicators and remove the induction layer you can make it tighter by training it like the DV cap (making it more oval) so it won’t rotate as easily. I don’t recommend holding it there with your fingers though, it might smell bad when you heat it and the oils can burn onto the...
